Agreed being the helper is a art as well. More so in some jobs than others like brick masons tile work framing etc. Most dont appreciate the skill and work behind even just being a "helper"

The pace he’s working at in this video is more realistic. I do the same but mostly roofing these days that’s where the money is in my area. I don’t take breaks and leave when I’m tired generally 9 hours. And do my quotes, paper work in the evenings. summers I work pretty well everyday mon-sun. In the winter I transition to a winter Reno or build. Respect to this guy. Didn’t see him crowning boards or fixing warps when he was framing walls though. Then again I’m in a small rural town, no subdivision work. Everything super custom.

Nice man👊🏼 solid hustle. All you other trades can thank a framer for having buildings to rough in. We use a flushtrim bit on a router to zip that top cord. Takes the chalk line out of the equation when it’s wet

Reason why you’re a “BEAST!!!!!!”🤙🏼 Live long and stay safe in those altitudes brother!!!!! I recently fractured my tibial plateau and damaged the Miniscus from an extension ladder fall. Put me out for the next couple of months which I’m not used to. I have a plate and six screws in that rates now but the main challenge is getting back 100% mobility and extension. So, be safe in heights and just like measuring twice before the cut…, “think and look twice before taking your next step while in heights.” I’ll be 59 next month. Injuries like this are not cool at my age though I’m in excellent health which is on my side.

Perfect man, I’ve been watching your videos and My guys and I work very similar to you. I use coil nailers for framing and for plywood as well, and build my gables on the ground then carry up with fork. Very nice way to do it as well will definitely try that as well been framing for 7 years NJ/DE

Of course not out of line in any way. My lady always tells me to make vidjahs, just ain't my style. Not knocking it by any means. More glad that people do. Kerrs it's damn helpful. One thing I've always just adored.. this said person, absolute beast at there trade, maybe several, but I'm certain, one doesn't know all. This KZbin thing is quite clever, entertaining, but one can't trust everything. But if a person is tapping things straight with the nail gun, running pre marks, there's nothing I saw that I thought a well trained.. including the muscles. Couldn't do all day.. slow is smooth, and smooth is fast.. I'm a climbing arborist. Yeah I'm strong. But ain't got muscles on top of muscles.. always worked those folk into there sleepy bed.. lol.. Framing beast…is an understatement. I don’t frame. I lay countertop and shower walls but I hope to be just as efficient effective and accurate as this guy! Here I am installing 200 sq ft of countertop a day thinking I’m a god because that’s about 50% more than installers in my area install and well yea..I’m speechless. Keep it up bubba

I used to do some framing. Not anywhere near as fast or experienced as this guy, but he isn't perfect. You can see a few gaps in his work, and I really doubt that eave is square with the gable wall. His rough carpentry is good enough. Which brings me to you, the countertop guy. I've never seen your work, but I know it's more accurate than this guy. At least I hope!

Although I did see some things that weren’t lined up accurately, I just thought that’s the way it was supposed to be lol smh. As far as my trade, my particular company won’t let us have a fault over 1/32nd so my accuracy is 99.5% on the money at all times.

Framing is fun. When you get into a groove and see the productivity, it’s a good time. 20 years in construction on west coast of Canada, and the best times I had, was framing townhouses on the west side, working long days. Then drinking beers watching the last of the light away. Also, cold days, we’re easy working days too. Hot days…not as much fun, but nice when you were done. Also, was that a staple gun for the sheathing? If so, what’s your spacing on those fasteners?

If it’s 12/12 whatever the over hang block size the height will be the same. 14 1/2 fascia block = 14 1/2 up from top of block to top of ledger board

I believe using 4” screws would make the structure stronger then nails cause will come loose from wood expansion and extraction on the type of weather

It's a coil framing gun. And he is probably using 1/4" poly hose. Very light weight. Prone to being a tangled mess new but will "break in" with time and warm summers.

If you go about it the right way, learn the tricks, and work steady your body will adapt over time. But overuse injuries do happen and you have to take care of your body off the clock.
