Hello everyone! It's been a little while!
I had an amazing time playing through the Super Mario RPG remake and it made me want to revisit this absolute classic! I covered Forest Maze back in early 2016, so I thought a new 2023 take wouldn't hurt.
Working on this made me feel like good old Gabocarina96 again. I've covered so much JRPG music in recent years which made going back to an upbeat tune like this feel like quite the change of pace, and a nice one at that. I had a lot of fun working on this song and I hope you'll enjoy my take on it!

I never did play the original and I don't have the remake for now (not sure if I'm going to buy it) but I guess if you know Mario a little bit, you just know this song =) the metal and rock touch of it works so well with the bpm, I like the tuba-like sound wo works with the bassline togehter =) and the arrangement is so playful with the melotica, acoustic guitar, the mini guitar solo...the cover just brings a good mode (also a little romantic if you ask me) - a perfect song to say goodbye to the autmn time and to say hello to the advent time now :)
