Hello everyone! Decided to cover this one again!
So... as some of you may know, this is my favorite video game song of all time and it's a very important one to me. I covered it like six or seven years ago as an acoustic/rock cover and it was pretty good I think for the time on my channel but... I recently felt the urge to do it again, this time as an acoustic cover that will hopefully stand the test of time a bit better.
I've been doing a lot of acoustic covers lately and I don't know it just feels great to change things up a little! I feel a bit bad to be redoing a song that I already covered but at the same time most of you probably weren't following me when I posted the old version so to a lot of people it'll be like I never did it until now.
I hope you'll enjoy the acoustic version! It felt great to be going back to my favorite song!

In 2021 my Great Grandfather died. Unlike usual great grandsons, I actually knew him well. He went through a lot. He was born in Poland, moved to America in mid 1920s,. He’s served in WW2 as a naval man and help make some major landings, and was in a military baseball league. Although, he broke his foot, so he couldn’t go major. He met my great grandmother (coincidentally she was Lithuanian), they married and gave birth to my grandpa, whom served in nam. On his last birthday, I played bowling with him. I can’t wait for heaven, where I can play bowling with him again.

This is my favorite song in all of the Mario and possibly Nintendo universe. It honestly captures a sense of fulfillment and tranquility that no other game song does for me. Thank you for sharing and still generating attention to the legacy that is N64 music.

Octave leaps hit me harder than bass drops, and the octave leap at this music has filled me with intense nostalgia since I first heard it, it's such an emotional feel and really fitting for an acoustic cover!

Okay, ow... That hit me in the nostalgia something fierce. I actually think it is a really good thing that you have started to do more acoustic covers, as it vastly expands the range of melodies you can do. Also, as fun as the acoustic/rock cover was - this is just more fitting of the melody.

I always thought this song felt out of place in this game. That's not me saying the song isn't good, because the song is excellent. It just didn't mesh thematically with the rest of the OST, and was a wonderful surprise waiting at the end. I believe a game's ending should feel rewarding, and there's something special about endings where rather than an epic cutscene, your reward is a really great piece of music. I was never a big fan of Mario 64, but I would sometimes beat Bowser just to hear this. Anyways sweet cover :P
