Education minister sending his children overseas for schooling, politicians going overseas for medical care. Not a good sign on the job they are doing.

This is a admiral idea but idealistic. There's many ways corruption can show it's head but this is a step in the right direction creating a standard for the government officials to follow on record.
@XY-rh3ifАй бұрын
We should be developing our own education system, so we can start developing our own technology, infrastructure and weapons to protect our territorial sovereignty from imperialists nations, instead we're busy wasting our money on foreign institutions overseas. We can develop our country/continent infrastructurally, technologically and economically within a single generation, just as the Chinese did for China and the Iranians are presently doing for Iran. However, without a sound and well developed education system, this is very unlikely to be achieved. After all, KNOWLEDGE is POWER.

You are right about the topic good lady. President Kagame in his inherent wisdom did something similar if not much more better. Rwandese could not hold property or bank accounts abroad or outside the country. But he did the opposite in matters of education. Any or every senior government official had to have a Master’s Degree even if it meant getting it outside the country. I met senior government and military officers doing PhDs and Masters outside the country. In order to progress in the Judiciary Executive or Parliamentary system. It works out well.
@gh_blaqsoap2846Ай бұрын
Post-grad education is different. The problem is usually at the basic level (the foundation). The education minister (and other public officials) hardly send their children to the public basic school.
@lanrea9373Ай бұрын
The Government should ban people from going abroad to study because this is a waste of country resources as a result we will be able to develop our own educational system.
