Botswana can be an incredibly affordable place to live, especially if expats manage their finances well. Gaborone ranks low on Mercer's Cost of Living Survey, and is more affordable than most of the 200 other listed cities. Its favourable exchange rate also attracts people from the US, the UK and Europe.

Not enough on the ground research was done for this video, too much reliance on desktop research. So for example in saying Chief Kgosi Gaborone the narrator has just said Chief Chief Gaborone whereas he was simply Kgosi Gaborone, also Uber doesn’t operate in Gaborone, though InDrive does.

Viewing from America. Is there automatic citizenship for the diaspora? If not it should be. Botswana would be a superpower.
@FictionHubZA Жыл бұрын
No. I don't want Botswana to be flooded by people who don't share the culture.
@dikamogapi7099 Жыл бұрын
@@FictionHubZA True. A lot of people underestimate this cultural factor. You get people who'll come to your country and demand that you as the host country must bend to their culture instead of them adopting the culture of their host country. And when you don't approve of this nonsense, they'll start calling you names. Yet when you go to their countries, they'll tell you straight to your face if you're stepping out of line in accordance to their country's culture/way of living. That's why I have so much respect for Arabic and Asian countries. You can call them whatever you want, they don't really care. If you come to live in their countries you are expected to adopt their way of living. You will be frowned upon if you don't because you found them doing their thing and you think your way is better than theirs. In conservative Arabic states you'll even end up in jail for breaking some cultural rules because they are tied to their religion.
