I feel very similarly, I use drugs and have seeked medication for help, and I dont know if it will help bring back the connections I had, but at least what i have is respect for myself for dealing with myself and my delusions for so long, try to confide in at least one person your thoughts and their positive energy will spread to you and over time you will heal, it takes time but trust me, I've beaten several addictions and I'm only 17, trust and love yourself, truly appreciate your own company, before you can appreciate others at your side, whether that's what you intend or not. Be yourself and you will blossom into a beautiful flower unique to its circumstances, a truly good person. Much love and I hope you find the right path for you

@@nathanluther39 it's all fun and games until you are afraid to go to sleep at night because you feel like you are about to die because you are either too bent or withdrawing then you rely on the substance for years of your life and then your life just becomes a rat race of searching for that drug constantly so that you can just function normally even if it is only for that day or even just the next couple of hours until one day you realize how much time you have wasted and then you quit and things are great. Just kidding, the next step is trying to ween yourself off of the substance but failing miserably because you don't feel normal without it and have agonizing anxiety and you will always have it in the back of your head that if you just give in you could have instant relief until FINALLY (more than likely you've hit absolute rock bottom) you have to give it up because you will die or can't bare the thought of fucking up 1 more thing in your life. Just something to think about. I am not trying to be annoying but that was my life for a while and I just feel compelled to make this PSA. Not everyone gets hooked like that but it's a large enough percentage that we have an epidemic.

My ex was incredible. It was the most amazing love I’ve ever had, I miss her so incredibly much. This song reminds me of why we drifted apart, she used to smoke every single day before meeting me. Once we met, she didn’t smoke for months straight. She thought she could smoke just one time after a while, thinking it would be fine. But no- she went right back to her old habits and it came to the point where she couldn’t go more than 6 hours before she had to smoke again. She was high constantly. We had a week off college and I wanted to go on a trip, I even told her that “it will be fun, it’ll be like a honeymoon”, her response was “let’s go get high and watch movies instead” :/ I love doing things and going out to see new things, but she did not. She valued her addictions more than our future. Eventually I started losing my mind at having to constantly babysit someone completely high constantly. I could feel my personality slipping away over and over the longer this went on. I lost myself and told her how unhappy this has made me. She broke up with me a few days later. We loved each other, we wanted to start a life together, we looked at houses and mapped our careers together, we’ve traveled to Europe together, we spent every day together. It’s been 5 months but there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss her. She’s still the one I wish I had besides me. Every night she’s the last image in my eyes before drifting off. This song reminds me of why we aren’t together anymore. This song makes it feel alright. I hope anyone that read this whole rant enjoyed lmao, please have a great life and please if this ever happens to you, feel free to reach out. :)

But honestly being on your own isn’t that bad, it sucks losing someone but in the end, your own stability and mental health is all that truly matters. I was really apprehensive when we broke up but I’m slowly beginning to regain my personality back and just being single again has made me see new purpose and abilities in my life.
