Scott Brothers Duo (Tom & Jonathan Scott) perform Pavane Op. 50 by Gabriel Fauré in an arrangement by Jonathan for Piano & Organ Duo. This was filmed during our visit to perform at Bergerac Orgue en Fête 2024, in Saint-Jacques Bergerac France, where we had the wonderful opportunity of playing a Fazioli concert grand and a Cavaillé-Coll pipe organ.

Piano tuned beautifully IMO, and piano and organ nicely in tune. Normally I listen to this channel for the organ (and organist of course!), but that Fazioli (and Tom's playing of it) has captivated me. I think I want one! Lovely rendition.

I found out about a half hour ago who wrote this piece and the name of it. I did a KZbin search, and this was at the top of the search. Beautiful rendition of this piece. Jonathan's transcription kept the melody lines alternating between piano and organ. I've played the organ up in the balcony while the piano is the whole church-length away almost to the alter at the front of the church. It's difficult since the sound doesn't reach the pianist for a second or two, yet Jonathan and Tom managed to keep a steady beat and play together with EXCELLENT results. Great playing by both Tom and Jonathan. If Tom is playing the piano, WHO is manning the camera and sound??? Gabriel Faurè???
