You know for me Gabriel doesn’t always need the whistles, some of his best performances have not had a single one. Still amazing, extremely beautiful, and always special. In this performance we don't hear Gabriel's stratospheric high notes, but we have that voice as sweet as honey and smooth as butter, he runs up and down the notes so subtly and gracefully, he looks like a peacock showing off his feathers. It was written for Whitney Houston but she first turned it down bc she said she felt it was not the time and place to sing this song. It wasn't till Whitney was down on her luck so to speak and at the bottom of the barrel where now she says she could sing 'I look to you'.🙏❤
