New Subscriber here. Thanks Dennis for covering our boy Gabriel, the Brazilian sensation. You are are spot on with your comments about him. Grew up around music and am a singer at my church. Love the fact also that Gabes a brother in Christ which makes it even cooler. Praying for him everyday that God would use his incredible talent in whatever genre he chooses. Cool that he is a crossover artist who maintains his walk with God. I don't see that ever changing with Gabriel. Be blessed brother. Dennis, this is one of my favorite Gabriel covers! First of all, he’s gorgeous in that leather jacket. Now that the shallow esthetics are out of the way😂, I just love his voice in this song. I love the throaty growls he does, his interpretation of the song, but my favorite aspect is the way he builds up to the climactic point when he puts his hands up in the air as he explodes out into that that huge note at the end. Holy cow! I get goosebumps every time, without fail! I love the passion and power he displays. This song is full of all kinds of special moments and touches. Speaking of special…I am a super-fan of Gabriel just as you are. Some people might find this too much, but would you consider doing a back to back of the same song that Gabriel does like 8 -10 years apart? I think it’s amazing to see his growth and maturity over the course of time. When he was 12 yrs old, he sang the solo in a church production called, “A Vitoria da Cruz”. It’s on KZbin and it shows off his amazing talent even at this tender age. The song would be a challenge for anyone but even at 12, he makes it look easy, and it shows his sweet personality and massive ability even then. Move forward about 8-10 yrs later and he sings it again, as an adult, with his brother Rafael, playing the guitar as accompaniment, and even raps! You can really hear that while it’s the same person singing, the maturity and growth is obvious. I think it’s illuminating and entertaining. I hope you will too. You won’t be sorry!
