For your information, kittysaurus, it's not because she's a woman - my friend Heather can sound very much like Axl's voice, and the singer of Zepparella does a dandy impression of Robert Plant. It's just a difference in the timbres in their voices. Succinctly, Axl has a sharper, piercing voice (which I almost can't stand), and Gabriela has a softer sound. It's timbre. Which is genetic, but not sex-based.

+Zuzana D Thanks man. When I first started working with Gabriela, her sounds were extremely pinched and squeezed. She was choking off the cords so bad that she could hardly sing2-3 songs without blowing her voice or she could barely speak for a couple days afterwards. It was not a pretty sound or open sound. It was completely choked off. Now she has incredible freedom, power, range stamina and is starting to develop flawless harmonic distortion characteristics to her voice. She explains this on her Facebook page of the transitional stages with KTVA should you be interested. You could probably just Google Gabriela Guncikova Facebook and see the article she wrote. Yes,you are right, it was something blocked in her voice. Now i feel freedom as you said. And not only vocal freedom,but a personal as well. She seems to be so relaxed while singing..congrats man:-) sure, i will check gabriela's funpage,im excited about her next succes

Been seeing your students pop up on feeds and what not. This lady is great too. My wife is a singer and been looking to get some training in so we can write music. I think this is the place for her. Heck, im feeling a little inspired to start trying to sing. But maybe i just stick with guitar....LOL.
