Great performance Gabriela of one of my favourite piano concertos. So much intimacy and expression, loved it. Orchestra was wonderful too.

Interesting and beautiful piano concerto by Ravel. He worked really hard on it (it took him 2 years to finish). It’s a feast of sounds and colors with Spanish and jazz influence (a slight touch of Gershwin). I particularly like the second movement: so intimate and poetic … Ravel worked really hard on the opening melody: “"That flowing phrase! How I worked over it bar by bar! It nearly killed me!” … The third movement is really virtuosic, exciting and fun. Your unique talent for improvisation and composition allows you to interpret the music of the greatest composers in a way that makes us feel it is the composer himself performing his work: everything flows organically, naturally; it's spontaneous, eloquent and convincing. No doubt, one of the best renditions of this wonderful piano concerto. The orchestra and the conducting were great, as well. (you should compose in this style, Gabi) Bravi!!!

Una obra poco conocida por el público pero de genial diseño que me parece impresionista. Una interpretación a pulso de Gabriela y un director que entiende al compositor y a la pianista. Felicidades a la orquesta por lograr acompañar con audacia a ésta importante solista internacional. Bravo! A todos. Luego de la solista mi admiración por los vientos en esta obra!

Luis Silva yo no encuentro que la obra sea poco conocida. Hay más de treinta versiones en el mercado.

I've heard others attempt this masterpiece but felt something was missing or perhaps some wrong notes were played. On the other hand, Gabriela plays phrases instead of memorized notes and very articulately conveys what Mr Ravel was saying.
