Okay- SO.... I am totally in love with Gabriella's playing, and watch this channel all the time. I saw this video in the first 12 hours it was posted, and have watched a hundred times since. I finally just watched, focused on dad! I know. I'm a moron for not putting in the work to enjoy both sooner! But stick with me here! I am an awful guitar player. But I pay attention to talent and style and instructors. I have no idea how I didn't notice before- but WOW, these two! Both are brilliant, for sure. And obviously Sergio has been a huge influence on his daughter. BUT--- Watch each player for the entire video. It is crazy how varied their playing details are. Certainly, Gabriella gets her love and talent from Sergio, and again- both are amazing! But watch how much Sergio is an 'economy of motion' player. He is precise. He lets no effort go unheard. Virtually NO movement that does not directly result in sound. Meanwhile, Gabriella plays with very similar understanding of the piece and the same artistic intent. But her mechanics are much more free. Flowing motion, enjoying the sound and displaying the style. I have enjoyed, and will continue to enjoy ALL the music and brilliance on this channel. I really hope these two do a few more duets. I often set this channel as my over-night music when I go to bed. That is how much I respect Gabriella's playing. But the wonder of seeing the similarities AND differences of her and dad is a new joy! So much fun!

People who don't play might not appreciate how difficult it is to play THAT well in-sync with someone else. The places where you played the same thing, your notes were BANG ON together. Playing in a band is hard, but this kind of thing is SO tough because neither of you can hide any mistakes. This was flawless. I'd be so interested to know how many takes this took, and I would love to see how you both react if one of you messes up :-D

Apart from the playing - always amazing - I want to say that, if Sergio has been doing the audio all along, he's as good as they get. What consistently great acoustic guitar tone! Not that easy to do.
