Kass: "at last, the Champions can rest in peace." Gab: "actually not yet, I need them" 💀 This was such a fun series! I'm also an Ocarina of Time girl that struggled with her first playthrough with BOTW. I replayed it after a few years again and that's when it clicked for me. So, I appreciate you giving it a second chance, too! Loved watching you explore Hyrule, discover the characters' stories, and take on all the challenges. Can't wait to see you take on TOTK next. 💚

I loved watching this series and my son loved watching it with me. He would laugh so hard he would cry, whenever you swung the two handed sword to hit enemies with. I am glad you gave it a second chance and loved it this time around. My son and I can't wait to sit down and watch you play Tears of the Kingdom next.

I wish they gave Link a little more emotion with that picture. He has all his memories back and i know he has been rendered mute because of tremendous pressure he is under but when he is in his house, all by himself, and that music playing it made me sad for him. I actually said out loud "Do you think Link is lonely?" I mean throughout this whole game, he got to see that his friends are dead to thw point of him communicating with their spirits, there is still so much pressure for him to succeed, and that picture is the first physical proof of who he was before he got put in status. I kind of wish that they had him tear up, maybe him wipe away a tear, and then his determined nod

I do notice that you and Sean both have the same fighting style: get all up in their face and spam "DIE". 1:28:20 GAB: "Let's see what's in here..." ME: "An ass-whuppin'." ( _Gates slam shut and a Lynel drops in_ ) "Yep." 2:11:00 What a ride. Big, open-world RPGs like this have been my favorites ever since "Panzer Dragoon Saga" on Sega Saturn (1998, yeah, I'm old), but I knew I was going to want to watch this because of your evident love and respect for the Zelda series. In my humble opinion, leveling up and getting backstory revelations SHOULD be inconvenient and even difficult, as that is as close as the player is going to get to struggling along with the character. Thanks for bringing us along!

31:07 I was awaiting for that moment and expression cuz honestly I felt the same way when I first fought Maz Koshia. Also omg that music be a bop ngl! I actually recently fought him again and omg it was easier from when I first fought him on normal and hard mode since you didn't know what to expect. Btw the picture is such a heart felt moment I still cherish even with having it from getting the Making of a Champion. Glad to see you finally finish this game after so long from when you first played this game!
@lyianx Жыл бұрын
16:00 I soo love the music in this. Like a much more enhanced shrine music. 30:30 haha love peoples reactions like "why do i hear boss music?" 52:50 Its fun to note here, that Kass had that picture. The picture with Link in it.. Meaning he knew who you were the entire time you've been interacting with him. 1:05:28 Ancient Proficiency : +80% Damage while using Ancient and Guardian weapons and increases damage done to Guardians. 2:10:20 All the "hero weapons", while the they do break, you CAN replace them by visiting the city they came from and talking to a specific person. So you never 'loose them forever'. It just takes a bit of travel (and i think resources) to get them back again. The problem, of course, is if they Never broke, then everyone would just use those and the durability of anything else would be a 'waste of time' in everyone's eyes. That's why the Master sword 'runs out of charge'. I dont have the same rose tinted glasses that you do for the other 3d zeldas. I've played Twilight Princess (the only 3d on i have significant time in) and think this is better than that. OoT i never picked up but visually it does not hold up today. I grew up with LttP, but didnt play it that much at its time, but later on and feel its one of the best 2d Zelda games, but its a hard choice between that and LBW. As far as the 'large dungeons' go, it wouldnt make sense for this open world and i feel like adding them just for the sake of adding them would really detract form what this game is trying to do. Having large dungeons, people expect a large reward (and i dont think 4 spirit orbs would be enough for them). In other games, that reward was a heart container and a special weapon or utility item. But those are taken care of for you before you leave the starting area (ie your slate runes) because you need them to navigate the rest of the world. Restricting the world by having those in large dungon's removes the free exploration and open world that BotW is, and would only revert it back to the linear path that EVERY OTHER zelda game has been because you'd need to go to the dungeons in a certain order. The divine beasts had to make sense for the story to work rater than having four large dungeons, and rewarded you with the champion abilities. But flooding the world with abilities like that (with how many dungeons Zelda typically has) would make the game too complex for a free exploration and very quickly outline another problem other Zelda games have. Not every item is useful in most cases. Many zelda items have an extremely limited use only facilitated by forced circumstances just for the sake of making you use that item. Doing that in BotW would clearly break the "play the game how you want & make your own solutions, there is no 'wrong' way to do something" environment they created. I get people miss 'the dungeons' but dont get how people do not seem to understand why that would not work in this game and say it 'detracts from the game' just because its missing, when it would detract from the game if they were added.

So glad that you enjoyed the game! I enjoyed experiencing it with you with fresh eyes. I agree with you on where some QOL improvements could be made, with the additional one of Ganon felt way too easy to me in this game to beat and it made it feel anticlimactic for me in a way? I just didn't get the same visceral satisfaction from beating him here that I did from Twilight Princess. Maybe that's just me though. Ironically having said that I could never finish the Champion's Ballad because of Thunderblight Ganon 😂 so thanks for finally letting me see that! Can't wait for TOTK!
