There was definitely someone on the island, and while you were talking to the hearse there was somebody standing in the woods behind it. The driver of the hearse jumped out at the last second, you can see the hearse is empty. At least it looked like it - such a good game!

Idk if it's going to go this route, but the premise of "applied to an opening for a ferryman" makes me want a game where you do just that...... and end up having to take on the role of Charon. But not in the same vein as Spiritfarer handled it.

Lol, yeah, I live in an area close by to a ferry, and I have seen the work they do. But the game was made for a week long GameJam I had to really simplify the tasks as a ferry man.

I wonder if you leave before that last car comes back, would there be a second ending since the note mentioned witnesses? Or maybe a different ending if you just leave after the final run instead of escorting the hearse? I also wonder if the guy on the radio knew the kid was getting sacrificed or not, since he kept getting onto gab about keeping his ship in shape like he was getting that specific one back... He was also hesitant to talk about the whole storm thing, so I guess he might've known? Overall a really cool game and a really cool pumpkin mug ☕

My game does feature 2 Alternative endings that can be triggered at any time and one of them is in fact is getting in your car and leaving.

Curious if there's any alternate endings, such as getting into your own car at the end and leaving instead of ferrying the hearse (which is obviously a trap, who delivers a corpse back to a place being evacuated?).

Yes, my game features a you can leave ending. The hit box on the car is not too great, and you need to interact with the car twice, but it is there.

Lol, I developed the game during a week long GameJam and while I had thoughts of paying for tickets to board. Telling drivers what lane to drive on and many other tasks that ferrymen do. But I really had to simplify the game, so it can be completed in a week.

So the thing with selling a car like the one the player has is you'll likely never get one like it ever again. Had family and friends with really nice Chevrolet, Jaguars, Harley's and the like and they are always difficult to justify buying such luxury vehicles again unless you are quite well off.
