As a mechanical engineer, I grit my teeth at how you just eyeball all measurements. You could use a computer to draw the pieces. Even Powerpoint. Then print and use the paper as templates, with all holes in the right place! The wood wheels are extremely flimsy. It wouldn't be too much work to chisel grooves in the hub and insert the wooden vanes in the grooves with proper wood glue. Also, you shape the wood blades after they're installed. Easier and more accurate to do it while you had a long flat stick. Finally, great! It is a gas turbine, but in a next project you need to produce work with it. Thus one only burns gas and does nothing. The exhaust end can produce a measurable push if you also build an exit nozzle. Or you could create a turbo-prop. Extend the shift forward, put a propeller and then the little cone. Then you will be able to measure the power created with a home-made dynamometer, made with a spring. Great work. You should do it as a shop in high schools.❤❤❤

@@leerogers6423 It is a self-sustaining, airflow and burn, jet engine, and an axial jet engine to boot, which is harder make than the garden variety youtube centrifugal designs. It's especially a jet engine in that it incorporates stator vanes in the compressor stage, something very uncommon in the usual DIY projects. The only thing lacking is actual _demonstrated_ thrust. That it _must_ have thrust is entailed by Newton's equal and opposite law. It has mass going in the front end and propelled out the back end.
