I just ordered the round and wood one for Christmas presents. It really looks like an animated design on a screen instead of an actual object.

I ordered the circular one in the wood looking surround. I hope it is what is pictured because out of these four, I liked this one the best

I ordered the same one, on a temu deal promotion. Ive wanted a Ferrofluid visualization tool for my music studio for at least a year since seeing the first one in the video.(But its soo expensive, plus i dont need the speaker capability as i have studio monitors) Im really excited for it to get here! I will come back and update this comment when it arrives 😊

@@stainingduke8303at around 6:12 in the video you can see how it performs on its side. That's how I plan on using mine when it arrives actually :) Or do you mean having it lay on its back? Because I don't think that would work well as the microphone is on the back. But it's worth trying anyway! Won't hurt it anymore than travelling in the mail could😅 It's also very comparable to the large white one, although the large white one has a horizontal "floor" for the Ferrofluid to rest on giving it another dimension of action in a way. But is the speaker + all that worth 4-5x the price of the wooden one? I don't need the speaker so going with the wood one is ideal anyway 😊

@@casualwatcher5029 I got mine from temu, same as the Amazon brand, "sound venom" it's pretty cool! The only downside is don't let the air bubble sit at the front of the glass (ie lay it on its back) as it can stain the glass which takes a really long time to correct itself.

the first one and third one are my favorite. The 2nd one, or the big one as you said, it's just too heavy and takes too much space on my desk.

the brown seems to be the most responsive with lesss latency, its the only neat one

I can not really judge the audio quality through your mic. I would want to know from you which speaker sounds the best. I am guessing the big box is the best speaker. little weight is usually a dead giveaway to a sub-par speaker. So my favourite is instant the big box. but as one other comment mentioned the pattern that the big box makes seems kinda random. where you turn it on for the second time (5:50) you can see how it jumps but its not on the beats its in between. So i would go for the microphone box. That can actually pick up my music i play on my speakers and is a cool thing if friends come over and see it for the first time

But in all honesty i think the Whale fall is the best one. It has an authentic pattern and it sounds the best through your phone mic

I'm watching this to study how these elements combined can be used for my college conclusion project. It's kinda too expensive to buy one in my country, college kids have no chance, lol. In therms of sound, the bigger one is the best, definitely. But I was surprised to see that the wooden one had the best results in therm of reacting to the sound waves and movements. Although, the egg-shaped one did look cooler (in my opinion). The weakest was certainly the polygonal, it looked pretty, but the ferrofluid couldn't really react properly, which was kind of lame. The data I've collected in this video will be very useful to develop my college conclusion project, or final project, so thank you so much. This was very useful.

I want it for my pc but use headphones. I wonder if I send it audio but then turn the volume down if it will still activate it? It doesn't seem to be volume based.

So hard to tell which one is playing sometimes you have both in the frame and fluid both jumping.

WhaleFall upgraded edition kzbin.info/www/bejne/d4DXnY2DotuirKc now is also a visualizer. If you don't connect Bluetooth, it will pick up the sounds around it.

The huge speaker is random but I think it sounds best? Egg speaker is cool and decent, but the circle splatter effect is cooler, last speaker sucks and has mid sound, but the not a speaker one is my favorite.
