I really enjoy watching your videos I can only dream unfortunately of having any kind of van build or moter home but never wanted so much to have one in my life the freedom to be able to visit my children and grandchildren and having a place to stay at same time just up and go would be awesome but I can't help myself watching others building or living in there's as it brings me so much joy seeing how happy people can be I know crazy right but just imagining one day it be me helps keep it real watching others and I feel so happy and emotional when the builds are finished and all the hard work as finished so keep it up and well done can't wait to see the end result 🥰

You've done a great job so far old boy, you'll have to go down south for a bit, the forecast is quite good for a few days then later, the usual continuous rain. I've spent the last couple of days fitting a diesel heater to my van, just in time before winter.👍👍👍

Hi John. Vinyl wrap looks great. Speaking as someone who converted a van through the winter without the benefit of any indoor shelter I fully understand your frustration. Wait till it's freezing outside and your trying to get adhesives to work. Will you get your diesel heater up and running sooner rather than later. I didn't and spent a fortune running an electric fan heater (on an extension lead from the house) for many hours. Hope for your sake we have the warmest winter on record. Keep up the good work

You would think in a place where rainy is the norm a good part of the year, they would have ‘rent a garage’ spaces where you could work on your vehicle in the dry short time. Like AirGarage or something. Nice looking van so far and lovely of Ryobi to send you some tools.

That's looking very tidy John. I do like the look of that rubber based paint. I thought it was raptor you were putting on at first. I cannot believe that electrical system you're putting in, it's mega bucks but looks the business! The toilet is looking like a good purchase as well, I had a good read up on them afterwards. I hope that the weather improves for you and you can make some headway with the project. All the best.

Looks great John as does the job on Mandy’s. Can I ask how many cans you needed to do yours and if you needed any primers please? Can’t see anything in Timelapse but just want to make sure before doing mine. Also how many coats did you do please. Assume if you do more than one then you are removing the tape after last coat whilst still wet so that it doesn’t peal off?
@GadgetJohn Жыл бұрын
I used 4 cans on Mandys and 5 cans on mine as it’s longer with more trim. I cleaned the van, dried it off, cleaned all the plastics with isopropanol and then masked off. I then gave a mist coat first and then 2 coats, on the final coat I made sure I sprayed on the masking tape line and then after 60 seconds removed the masking tape.
