I've actually burned out one of those "cheap" Target brand fans. Pay more at the beginning for as much metal as you can get. Get one with a remote is a great idea as well. One thing I will comment on is that the Wahoo Headwind will move a LOT of air for such a small box.

Best (cheap) indoor training accessories: 1) the box your turbo trainer came in for your laptop and 2) an office chair which can also double as an easily moveable table to put stuff on like your phone, water, snacks, extra towel etc

What’s a rocker plate man? Who makes them?
@TreyGruel3 жыл бұрын
@@Mixedbydavey Rocker plate is a platform for the trainer that adds side-to-side (and sometimes fore-aft) movement. Makes it a bit more like riding outdoors, especially out of the saddle. Made a big difference for me in comfort on the bike, especially for longer sessions. Many DIY plans available and a bunch of companies selling them now. I think TurboRocks (in the UK) was one of the first commercial ones. Inside Ride (maker of rollers) makes a nifty solution for the KICKR. And even Wiggle's gotten into it with a Lifeline branded one.

Not necessarily indoor related but to the subject of headphones, when outdoors I use bone-conduction headphones which move the vibration of the sound into the cheekbones, leaving your ears open and able to hear what’s going on around you. Give them a try! Thanks for all the great vids!

@@SioLazer Correct. They use plates that sit against the cheekbones to deliver sound vibrations through the jaw and skull bone directly into the cochlea. They leave the ear canal open, which allows outside sound to still get in.

Is there a similar video for cheap indoor training tech?
@supernoodles9083 жыл бұрын
Basically you don't need to get cycling specific tech. They add an up mark on that stuff. Get "general" indoor training stuff. Sponsor free tips... 1) get a regular blower fan and large large one, put it infront where you can reach and adjust it. Don't get a kicker fan. Way way overpriced!!! Just put the fan power before the effort, simple. 2) Bluetooth headphone or a speaker for music. Music is great. You can get decent Bluetooth headphone for £30-£35. The don't need to be the best quality, just good enough :) 3) don't get a woop of short on money, get a heart rate monitor for £30ish and hook it to your phone. Loads of free apps to track and save heart data 4) write down your sets for the week. Having it written down makes it easier mentally to do 5) towel over the front. Just a simple bath towel. You already have them and you can boil wash them 6) an e Racer makes things more fun. There's plenty of free and non free versions of e racing

shouldn't this video have included the words "paid promotion" on screen because whilst you may not have been directly advertising Wahoo products the line between just commenting on one of your sponsors and doing an actual promotion here had very "blurred lines" and could be construed as an advertisement to some.

Besides bein an overprices subscription based model, they claim the sensor is free. For $10 shipping. So they are even making money off their lies. Whoop is a very evil company.
