Thanks for the great video! I was having all kinds of issues programming mine via Odmaster (it would connect via Bluetooth but wouldn't read). I deleted the app and re-installed it (to the newest version) and now it works like a champ! This is a lot of radio for $20 and it's a blast to be able to access my local UHF ham radio repeaters with such a simple device.

I really enjoy FRS radios like this for large groups. Skiing with a big group and want to stay in touch? Hand these out. I bought a Baofeng FRS on sale last year for something like $8 a piece and handed them out to everyone in our group. Non radio people don’t struggle with them at all. Super useful.

Love mine here. i like that you can program them for a repeater. and they can also go off the normal FRS frequencys

I was able to get mine to work on the local 70cm repeater. Decent little radios. I carry two with me to pass out to people as needed.

i bought 2 of them myself recently, I like them so far, but I do have one question, I have the 22 channel ones and when I get to channel 20, it beeps, once does it on both radios. Loading the radios into ODMaster app, I dont see anything set on channel 20 that would be different than the other channels that would make them beep. Anyone seeing this issue? Dont think its broke but why is it doing that only on channel 20.

Hi do you have a link to the software ?
@GadgetTalk4UАй бұрын
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones No. I'd suggest contacting Tidradio. They are usually very responsive.

I could definitely tell a difference. Maybe it’s because I rely on audio, due to blindness? I’m not sure. The FRS to GMRS sounded much lower and quality.

Any chance you can share the beta CPS they sent you? I can't find it anywhere, and I'm struggling to program this guy...

Consider asking Tidradio support. As other commenter's have said, ODMaster seems to work. The dongle is pretty cheap. $10 On the Tidradio website.

Range??
@GadgetTalk4U11 күн бұрын
Range is what it is. Not trying to be smart but vegetation, geography, urban or rural all seriously impact range. The same radio in a different location can have significantly different range numbers. Cheers.
