Great point. Some things don’t change much. Any sport remains 20 years tops and it’s quite sad to see people think otherwise. I would have thought that since he is so wealthy that once his kid came both him and his wife would know it’s time to call it quits. It’s all downhill from here. Une défaite assez triste pour Monfils ! On aurait adoré voir un petit Djokovic vs Monfils ! En tout cas grosse perf' de Etcheverry ! Après Andy Murray, Gael Monfils, ça commence à être pas mal

Djokovic beating Etcheverry in this form is actually no given. Yes, Etcheverry has played 2 senior citizens in Murray and Monfils, but he has shown NO letting up, no mercy, no errors, great shotmaking and volley game. If Djokovic is still suffering from his cold/flu, it's very possible he falls to this guy -- I can easily see Etcheverry in the top 15 by year end. I consider him the best American man -- North or South, with the possible exception of the spectacularly aggravating but physically gifted Shelton.

That Gael Monfils lost this match is very sad, but his tennis is always a show. Unfortunately, age matters and speed is not the same, but it is still very interesting and meaningful tennis.
