Celebrating Christmas 2020 with John Spillane and Gaelscoileanna Chorcaí
In 2018 John Spillane with special guests Peadar Ó Riada, Seán Ó Sé and Gaelscoileanna Chorcaí held a hugely successful and enjoyable free but ticketed concert in City Hall Cork organised by Cork City Council’s Grúpa Forbartha Gaeilge to celebrate Blian na Gaeilge.
This year, to shake off the winter blues and to give children and families something to raise their spirits, we have re-imagined such a concert which will be broadcast on Cork City Council’s KZbin Channel and available from Monday December 21st.
John has already been practicing with pupils from 4 city Gaelscoileanna, selected at random in November to take part
These are:
Gaelscoil Mhuscraí Blarney;
Gaelscoil Mhachan, Mahon;
Gaelscoil An Ghort Alainn, Mayfield and
Gaelscoil Ui Riada Bishopstown.
