Update: As of 5/2022, I stepped down from ALDI as a Lead Store Associate. With that being said, I will not mention and reply to your comments about anything that's associated with ALDI business practices or hiring process at this time. Thank you for understanding! Best of luck to all future employees!

@@sonicluver98 is it as exhausting as people say?
@sonicluver98
@sonicluver98 3 жыл бұрын
@@leeann4329 It kinda depends on your mindset. Physically it is tiring and you do need to have some stamina and strength for lifting, stacking, and being on your feet all day etc. And you'd be surprised how heavy basic everyday items are when your lifting them all in one case/box. but it comes with time working there anyways and my team were understanding of this and I got there fairly quick. I like to think of it as a free daily workout lol. And I challenge myself to be better everytime I do a task and it keeps your head focused. You are always kept busy and never bored. Not sitting around watching the clock for the day go to finish like other jobs. To me actually the most exhausting is dealing with customers who are rude or or working at tills because I stress about making mistakes with money. But overall I love working with aldi and the pay is definitely worth it!

Quick question. I’ve been dumpster diving at aldi recently and they have been throwing away aldi finds items that are not broken. Do they always throw aldi finds out cause in the front at my store by the cashier they have a cart of trash and aldi finds in it. Do they get thrown away? And do the employees get dibs on that stuff cause an employees car has the aldi finds in it? Thankyou
@gafalcon7

If a customer returns an ALDI Finds product and there's nothing bad with the product, we can resale it. If it's a bad product than it suppose to be damaged out for the manager on duty. As employees for ALDI we cannot take anything that's being thrown in the dumpster because it would be consider stealing from the company, I don't agree on that but it is what it is. Depending on the manager sometimes we have ask people to leave our dumpster, but it depends on the manager on duty.

Those are basic things what you will be doing. Tips for interview, good handshake, great smile, answer questions honestly and tell them your hard worker. Also, before you interview get to know ALDI and how it was started and where was it started etc. Because if you do your research about the company etc. That will show them your interested! wow, im interviewing tmrw morning. now I'm having second thoughts. im a bored 56 yo retiree who thrives on monotonous busy work where too much analytical thinking isn't required. ya know what I mean? Im just lookin for a part time spot to hustle some spending money, I have absolutely no desire to move up or be thought of as management material. Ive done the career thing and was able to retire at 50. that climbing the ladder part of my worklife is so over. I dont wanna be in competition with any peers, ya wanna be manager, go for it. ill be just fine stocking merch and keeping the store clean. frankly I also have no desire to sit at a register. that would kill me. I recently left a part time gig at Food Lion because I was hired for the produce dept but they wanted to stick me up front AND work registers. But I have a feeling Aldi may not be a good fit for me. im a hustler but not a climber. im perfectly fine being on the low end of the corporate ladder, its a much shorter fall than being on top of the ladder. thanks for your video. it gave clarity to my thoughts on working there.

I have just done a recorded interview online via webcam to a set of pre-recorded questions. I've had an email saying they've received it. Any idea how long it will take them to get back to me? (This is an application in the UK by the way, not sure if the process is different over here.)

Hey I’m in the Uk they actually took a really long time to get back to me like over a month after my video questions. I was then asked to go to ‘the aldi experience’ which they just show you around and ask you some questions. Then finally I had a call with the regional manager in manchester and then was offered a job later that day. I’m going to my contract signing tomorrow! Things might be different at your shop. Hope this helps:)

Part time is about 25 hours or so. ALDI has full time positions and part time positions. Contact the DM that contacted you about the interview and ask him or her is the position full time or part time position.

How can Aldi claim that it’s a “Team Environment” when every task you perform is timed? All that does is create a selfish employee! Who’s going to have the time to stop and help you when you have a question and hurt their numbers to do so? It’s such a ridiculous system that just creates more of a headache and paperwork for Managers. As someone who’s spent the greater portion of 35 yrs in some type of Management or Supervisory role, setting individual speed goals I think would just divide the staff, more than bring them together. I had an interview with Aldi and after doing the research and hearing all the stories, no thanks. I’m a hard worker and have always been a high achiever, but all the data I collected today from reviews and videos tells me to stay away. We aren’t robots, we’re human beings. There’s no time to even make sure you’re giving quality Customer Service!! I guess that’s what you get from an overseas company.

I don’t mean to be a buzz kill but if you’re truly an employee, it is a fireable offense to share company standards of operations. In your posts you’ve shared some specific details. Also, the ALDI uniform and brand is not to be worn on any level outside the work place.

2024. I see Aldi, I shop vons. The 1000th stor(Flagship Store) over seas, has some some Un professionalism in management. How many new emplyees know they were sold on Aldi values, and it is not delivered. I wonder how many people get promoted that deserved it. Across the Pond, it seems management is brought in. Not promoted from within Store personnel. Just my opinion. I know ZERO about Aldi America. Wishing Employees in America Good Luck. Peace🌎✨️
