Two big issues: 1) Women ordination; 2) Denying the Real Presence of our Lord in the Holy Eucharist.

I agree, the major issue for GAFCON is women's ordination ( or at least one of the major issues). The same could be said of the ACNA. I attend an ACNA parish, but I took vows years ago as a third order Franciscan through the Anglican Continuum and then was ordained as a Deacon in the Continuing Anglican Church. I attend the ACNA parish because it's a great parish and a traditional Anglican parish within driving distance does not exist....but. ....I could not become ordained in the ACNA because of it's liberal positions on women's ordination and other biblical issues.

I think the biggest issue will be figuring out the irreconcilable differences between High Church and Low Church Anglicans. One side emphasises scripture, the prayer book and liturgy; the other side are non-denoms larping as Anglicans and have no respect for the Anglican tradition. I really don't think you can consistently be a High Churchman and also be okay with non-denominational worship in your communion. Not sure what your communion is like, but the Sydney Anglican communion is full of evangelicals dressing as Anglicans...

This is a great point. In my jurisdictional boundaries, this isn't an issue, but in my province at large, it most definitely is. I completely agree that this issue needs addressing. Anglicanism has to mean something in practice and form too.

I fought for the ordination and consecration of women back in the 1980s: but have now come around to the perspective that - because the women they are selecting are as strange as the men they select - perhaps we should have a moratorium on the idea of 'ordination' altogether; and consider something more like 'acclamation', which was the way many great church leaders were 'called' in the past (eg Ambrose of Milan). If our local Rector is anything to go by, the 'career-cleric' is just as effective as the 'career-politician'; and should be viewed in the same light. Whilst I am rarely surprised at the pronouncements and actions of the female clergy (think 'Dame' Alison Rose, the ex-CEO of Natwest) as among the most managerial and woke among our clerics, I think the man at whose feet lies the blame for Managerial Christianity (according to Professor Martyn Percy), is +Justin of Canterbury; who appears to have performed the function for the Church of England the same function Alexander Johnson did for the Conservative Party.
