The grouper have been thick on inshore reefs but dang! 2ft of water?? MULTIPLE times? Pretty Cool. Nice video as always.

Thanks! Yeah I seem to be doing it backwards, can get them extremely shallow, but haven’t gotten the keeper grouper offshore yet while they have been in season. I’ll Keep trying!

If I’m seeing correctly in the background, you’re somewhere in the area of Pompano Cove or just north of it. My dad and I have fished that bay for about 30 years now and have caught grouper in that area quite often even through the summer. We’ve had a little better luck with bigger ones fishing the drop off on the south end, coming in from Pompano Point. It’s rare to get a legal one but we have managed a few over the years. We thought that was our little secret for a long time but you’ve let the cat outta the bag now 😂.

Yeah I just got lucky! I just pulled up to that spot, hit spot lock on my depth finder and got those fish! I’m not sure where pompano cove is, but there are a couple spots in that side where the deep water does come in quite close to land in cove shapes. So that does sound like where I was. Mercy it has me wondering if that reef in pompano cove is still there , if so it would be loaded

I’m not familiar with the shark hole, but it was on the cape side just inside the bay. Haven’t gotten any sheepshead’s yet, but haven’t targeted them either. Thanks for watching!
