Great Video! Country’s Calling was insane! The pictures of all the people. I had to laugh when you said you were going to try to park on 9th street. Coming down in December for Comicon

Think for fishing update and nice catch of the day keep up with the good work and I hope I meet you guys next year

As you saw in my IG posts- the Country Callings was amazing- weather was perfect- I will say for the amount of people inside the festival, everyone was pretty civilized, and behaved- We stayed at Frontier Town campground and they had a bus shuttle running back and forth- but they got a little bit overwhelmed- one bus taking as many people could pack into it- and they were making trips back until after 2am the first night- We ended up driving over Saturday and luckily finding a convenience store charging $50 for one of their 5 parking spots 4 blocks from the Boardwalk- some placed were charging 80-100 a day for parking. But we did have a great time at the festival, and would definitely go next year- Enjoy the weather and keep on fishing!

Wow! Thats awesome to hear it went well. I know Oceans Calling had an issue with bus transportation too. $50 to park is very reasonable. Sounds like overall both Oceans Calling and Country Calling were a huge success.

@@ReelJayB Here is a throwback video from 1986 of a tram ride down the Boardwalk- for being 40 years ago- some businesses are still operating in the same location-- kzbin.info/www/bejne/oHe5Zpl7jclrbsksi=ueDC_xfZ1MAOzyF2

Was down there from Mon. the 30th till Mon the 7th. fished that wall almost every day lots of little sea bass some throwback tog up to 13" to many toad fish and a few sea robins. right behind the motel bay side got a 18and a half inch flounder (yummy). If there was a way to get in touch with each other, you could have come to the motel on Sunday would have put my park pass in your truck and fished the inlet there behind the castle the place cleared out on Sunday after the calling fest. Thanks for taking us along nice to see you and your boy enjoying the day.

Nice Tog for William. It is sad to hear of others poaching small fish, no need for it.

That was a grouper lol. Man I want to come back down now and do some more fishing 🤦♂️. Starting archery hunting up here in Pennsylvania. Keep the videos coming buddy.
@ReelJayBАй бұрын
Yeah! I think I was more shocked than anything else...my brain was telling me it was a grouper but I couldn't process it! HAHA
@RickSaxonАй бұрын
I’ve seen people keeping short flounders in the inlet more than once this summer.

Great video Jay. When you going to do another video from Assateague. I hear they are getting some giant drum out there.
@ReelJayBАй бұрын
Yeah they've been catching some big ones! My truck is still giving me problems, but once it's fixed I'll be out there. Hopefully I can get on 1.

Hey Jay, don't know what bent your hook, but same thing happened to me on 9th St pier in September. Just took off towards 50 bridge then snapped my line?! I don't know what it was, but it had to be big, was using 10ft rod with 50lb test. Anyway, glad to see you & your son had some luck, Jay from Latrobe, Pa.
@ReelJayBАй бұрын
That's a big fish to snap 50# test! Wonder if it was a ray?
@JayReneeFreeАй бұрын
@@ReelJayB when it hit, the rod tip bounced real hard, started realing & fought it a few seconds, then it just took off. I tried setting the drag, but too late. i have caught many skates over the years, always feels like I'm bringing in a bowling ball, this seemed like a game fish. Well, who knows, looking forward to trying again, thanks for your input. Jay, Latrobe, Pa.

One if not two parking garages (not lots) are ‘needed’, especially near the lower streets (10th and lower). Parking is at a premium and not enough.
@ReelJayBАй бұрын
I agree, especially for flooding and keeping cars parked on higher ground.

Hey buddy how you doing man ? Look like a crazy 3 days of fishing 🎣 man . But you was still able to get that fishing in . JAY question buddy do you still have your kayak 🛶 ? Just curious because I haven't seen a video from you doing any kayak 🛶 fishing 🎣 . I haven't been able to do any kayaking 🛶 or kayak fishing 🎣 or kayak camping 🏕 since Labor day weekend because of my second Degree sunburn that turned into infection on my feet 🦶 . I can't walk , drive my car 🚗 , pickup 🛻 , truck 🚛 , wear my flip flops 🩴 because it still hurts really really bad man . I foot is still extremely RED to this day & it still hurts to touch my feet 🦶 & toes . I have to get around in a wheelchair & i have to have help with everything i do & it's extremely extremely hard to do anything by myself because of me being a chubby fat dude at 385Ibs man . Good video buddy thanks you for sharing this video for me to watch since I can't get out to fishing 🎣 .
@ReelJayBАй бұрын
Thanks Mack! Yeah, I still have my kayak, but it's been such a hard year trying to get out on the water. Every time I have a day off the weather is horrible or theres a small craft advisory. I think I may try again friday if they lift the current advisory. I hope your feet heal soon! Those burns are no joke and scary too!
@mackjenkins7721Ай бұрын
@ReelJayB O OK . The weather always gives us some type of problems man . I hope you can get out there soon man cuz I do understand the small craft advisory . Thanks you for the healing wish man cuz I really really appreciate & need it too . All of this problem is because of how my toes are Evenly straight across instead of being at a 45° Degrees angle like your toes are & my foot being so extreme wide with very very chubby fat wide toes . They are now talking about me having surgery done on my feet 🦶 because of how extremely wide my feet 🦶 are because they are 6 1/2 inches wide & there not a lot of places that don't make footwear that are extremely wide . My foot skin has change & that why my feet 🦶 are so easily to get burned now because I have to kayak 🛶 barefooted 👣 . My best friend was joking with me & said to me that I needed to paint my feet 🦶 black so that they won't burn up . He been there for me though all of my foot problems because he has wide feet 🦶 too but not as wide as mine is & we ben buddy every since we was like 7/9 years old way back in the early 70 .

Have you ever fished "Isle of Wight ?
@matthewwhite3444Ай бұрын
I've fished there a few times. Never caught anything bigger than a croaker.
@ReelJayBАй бұрын
No. Honestly I have no idea why they even put a pier there. It's too shallow. Even at 100 yards out it's still only 3 or 4 feet. The only thing there is croaker if your lucky. But, I can say, on the other side going towards Ocean Pines, if you see any crab pots out there, cast near those and they hold flounder.
