Besides the fishing, the food reviews, Assetique Island, beaches, boardwalk, OC, etc. I really appreciate the view from just driving. It looks clean down there now, not so much the case, when I went many years ago Always enjoy the info and show.

Thank you! The town does a great job keeping it clean. Between the street sweepers to the smaller carts driving around emptying trash cans around town, they put in a lot of work.

nice fish! Tautog and Sheepshead are fun fish. i keep meaning get out there try for some i hear Sheepshead are really good eating.
@ReelJayBАй бұрын
There's a lot of sheepshead on the south jetty right now. Problem is you need a boat to get them, or take the loooooong walk from Assateague state park to the jetty.

Hey Jay, off topic but I wanted to let you know of something the boys might enjoy-There is a house that has been doing an elaborate Christmas light display synced to music in Caine Woods for the last several years that has received tons of positive reviews, well this year they are now doing one for Halloween also- I have not seen it yet but everyone is raving about it!
@ReelJayBАй бұрын
Oh no way!! We went to the Christmas display and really enjoyed it. I'll have to check out the Halloween display. Thanks for letting me know!

Have you seen the boat on tracks in west OC? I was at the boat ramp in the commercial harbor, and there was a boat on what looked like bobcat tracks, He backed down the ramp on the tracks until it floated, the tracks folded into the side, and off he went under outboard power. It was a 25, 27 foot boat, not a small one.
@ReelJayBАй бұрын
Wow! I've never seen that one before, was it for construction or recreational use?
@funsmasher7018Ай бұрын
@@ReelJayB Recreational use. I saw the guy fishing around the inlet that day.

I was there fishing this weekend also. I caught many in the 12",15" range. I noticed they are fat this year. I caught a 14" female and she had more meat on her than a 16" i would catch in the past.
@ReelJayBАй бұрын
I noticed the same! Nice fat ones. It should only get better the next few weeks!!

Please be careful driving along Assateague Island because there are still active land minds from war training the Park Rangers discovered one not to long ago in the beach and detonated so it won't be a hazzard it's wild down there ‼️
@ReelJayBАй бұрын
All the ordinance on the island is inert. It was used as a practice range, no live ordinance was ever dropped. When they detonate any ordinance, it's only out of precaution. I just wish they would let the public know this.
