New Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 First Ride Impressions | Gagan Choudhary

Namaste, I got a chance to ride and see the new Himalayan up close recently, and here are my impressions about the bike. It is much more powerful than the previous one, but since it is an all-new one, let's focus on this bike itself, and I will make a separate video comparing this with the previous Gen. Himalayan 450 is now on sale starting at Rs 2.69 Lakh Ex-Showroom Chennai.

The economy mode mellows the throttle response until 4th gear only, then its the regular performance mode. That's really ingenious I found this info in Big Bear Banglore's video

12:27 No it's not at all fast charging. It's 5V 2A, meaning charging speed only 10 Watt. 10W is considered as one of the slowest charging speeds in today's date and time.

Considering long hauls, you wouldn't want a fast charger anyways, it could damage your phone.

@@kimjong-un4954 Considering how much battery the google navigation mirrored into the Dash drains(very very high), it definitely required faster than 10W. 2ndly, no matter how long haul the drive would be, limiting the battery charging to 80% or so will not damage anything further irrespective of way faster charging than 10W. If you drive for an hour, good luck trying hard to even topple the battery to 30%. Lastly, don't defend companies when companies do not do things rightly by cutting corners where they shouldn't.

@@JustAnAtheist not absolutely, there's nothing to defend, -fellow consumer. Just confused between KTM ADV X and this one, my point was comparative to the later which lacks the whole charger. I need to settle in any of these two before December ends, as the price hike is imminent 🙃

Cons Heavy weight 196 kg without any accessories and luggage 2. No tubeless tyres 3. Consol have many bugs 4. Mileage around 22 km 5. No tail lamps 6. No crash guard, it comes with accessories and you hve to pay extra 7. Joystick for console have a poor build quality 8. As we know RE bikes are not refined and reliable 9. Not everyone is dakar rally rider 😂 if you take this bike to off-road it will be pain in the ** neck 😅 10. Not at all for city rides specially in Mumbai traffic 11. If you connect your phone to console, you have to continue switch on your phone which drain your phone battery or else you hve to invest 10 to 15k to buy another phone 12. Low end performance is pathetic 13. Heating issue is very much Pros 1. Brakes are good 2. Engine is powerful good for touring, but again no tubeless tyres 3. Service centre are available in many areas 4. Road presence are good Think before you buy , don't watch KZbin videos, youtuber videos can only give you the product information, but if you take a test ride it wil be more understanding to buy a motorcycle

Hi All, I'm planning for a new bike confused in between himalayan 450 and Super Meteor 650. I know it's odd to compare an ADV with a cruiser. I'm receiving different opinions from friends and family. Requirement: 1. Need a bike for family of 3(Me,wife and a baby)- received comments that himalayan pillion seat height space will be bit difficult for wife and baby. Suggested super meteor celestial variant as seat is wider than other two and backrest is provided. 2. Very minimal off road use. More city and highways. - Suggested super meteor since it's good for highway rides. 3. Looking for daily commute to office and home. - bit sceptical about engine heat in city traffic and heard that meteor chainspoket and back breakpads doesn't last morethan 3k kms. Appreciate suggestion from owners and experts. Thanks in Advance 😊

I am a real beginner looking for my firsf bike after passing my license. I pass my license on a Suzuki SV650 and it is excellent bike but don't like roadsters. You have the privilege to have already the new RE 450 we must wait at least next 4 to 5 months in Europe, so that is why I am asking so much about the bike because I just want some feed back from persons who already have or ride the 450cc. I am not a spammer or looking for viewers ..just want more infos about the bike and I don't speak your language. One more question if I may, does the engine have bad heat during the ride in town? It's not good for daily commute in city traffic, it's a RAW truth, go and test ride it on your own if you don't beliebe me. Have test ridden yesterday. Don't believe the media reviewers who are afraid of getting blacklisted by bike makers.

One thing to notice, screen is not flickering for you , what settings did you use?

I use a Mirrorless camera for static shoot and controls frame rate as per screens so that I can show it to you guys. :). But while riding a action cam is used hence you will see flickering at times.

Bro need one help My stock tire size is 185/55/16, and I upgraded to 195/ 55/ 16 Its a honda city petrol car So is it ok...today i already put front 2 tyres of 195/55/16 Rear tyre new one i wil put after 6 months....
