New himaliyan lacks that bottom end torque, plus as gagan sir said it might be less in weight but due to the weight distribution in the motorcycle this himaliyan feels more heavy to maneuver in low speeds especially in city traffic in low gear...

I went to see new Himmy in the showroom, few things I notice immediately were - 1. Weight balance is not good when the bike is leaned at an angle specially when u lift it from side stand. Good luck picking up the bike if it falls down with loaded luggage. Triumph scrambler is much better in that regard. 2. The side stand is a bit short making the bike lean too much, so one has to be mindful always when parking on side stand specially on hills. But I love the new Instrument console, probably the best in bikes upto 10 lacs. & the seating comfort both for rider and pillion so comfortable just like a wow.

@@anan7s294 the problem with you is you are comparing different segment bikes Himalayan feels settled in every part of road ,scrambler ride quality comes no where near to himalayan I mean look at the speed error in both the segments himlayan error is 3 to 4 kmph although the error in scrambler is 12 to 15 kmph that too without VBox usage Even the suspension is no where near to hiamlayan Although i would not prefer both the bikes. My budget permits me to get me a more aggressive one still new himalayan has more edge over 400s with tubless spokeswheel with many riding mode which misses in scrambler

@@Sk-xe6es mujhe pata hai bhai, mere use ke liye Himalayan off roading better kr skti hai, lekin mujhe utne extreme level ki krni hi ni, my most of the rides would be in city and ocassional long rides. Us purpose ke 400X better hai (better low end torue city mein easy kr deta h riding). Main RE ke showroom mein ja k test kr chuka hu Himalayan, jo feel kia wo bata raha hu. i don't need a racing bike, ek comfortable posture wali bike chahiye thi isiliye himalayan ko bhi dekha.

The seating comfort for the pillion is 1/10. My back is still in trauma after a 500 km ride. For riders it's good though. Control is better in rough terrains. In the dark, we accidentally jumped over a 4 inch gap, the bike fumbled but kept moving without falling down. The neck pain it caused is significant though. I am not going as a pillion for a long ride ever again.. and it stalls a lot. A Lot lot lot in traffic..

Those 100% offroading freaks go with old himalayan....those would like to tour mostly new one is the best....when i test rode the 450 lowend torq is comparatively lesser than the 411. But still new one is a Beast❤

@@flexiwing4450 i dont think you will miss too much of torque. Its just not the engine will not behave like "tractor". Since its a liquid cooled engine.

@@flexiwing4450 bro you will have to put a little more effort that's it. It's way better than the torque of 350. It's just getting used to the power band. I have started shifting the gear as soon as the rpm goes below 3. In the previous Himalayan (which I owned for 5yrs) I didn't had to shift down that much. That was easy to ride. Forgiving. The new one has more power hence the power diff between the bands(of himi450) feels. I hope I am able to convey what I am trying to say

Been an owner of This bike and now recently drove Gurella... One think I must say.... Every time when you are in 6th gear and pass throuh 4000 rpm.... Man it pulls and pulls and pulls and its keep pulling...... I have never drove a single cylender machine like such ever.... RE has done some magic in it... Knowing its an Indian Brand and amde in India makes me more proud when I drove this.... What a Machine

After test riding himalayan 452 (I own a bs3 Himalayan) I realized, it's an amazing bike, but than after enjoying my himalayan with off roading, I would prefer xpulse 4v pro, if you really want to off road, buy a xpulse.

@@shubham_M7777 If you wish to off road and take on some trails go for xpulse: light weight, reliable, cheap and easy to repair, and very forgiving If you wish to do long rides, and mild trails, go for Himalayan: very stable and reliable and comfortable and you can cruise at higher speeds.
