India's industry is weak, and rocket carrying capacity cannot be achieved at all. The next generation of rocket carrying capacity is only 22 tons, and it will take after 2030.

While the USSR achieved this on 12 April 1961 yet this is no trivial achievement for India. For a great power India this is necessary. The founding fathers of modern India were often highly educated, nationalists, honest with a great vision. They set-up appropriate foundations in many areas including space, atomic energy, industrialization, academics, etc. we are now enjoying the benefits of this foundation laid by these people. Though the BJP has many limitations (they are mostly uneducated) yet being a nationalistic party they have pushed this further. For this they must be given credit. China which was tightly linked to the Yehudi-lobby headed by Dr. Kissinger was able to purchase old USSR hardware of the 1960s from USSR during the drunkard Yeltsin era and thus place a man into space. The Indian effort is pretty indigenous though surely our USSR-RUSSIAN brothers as usual did provide help. Mr. Modi is also very close to the Yehudis (they love him and he them, they also prop up Modi) and nothing wrong in this since India has an independent foreign policy.

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced the names of four IAF pilots selected for India's first Human Space Flight Programme - Gaganyaan, set for launch in 2025. Addressing the chosen ones as "four shakti" at a programme at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) in Kerala on Tuesday, February 27, PM bestowed on them the prestigious "astronaut wings". If successful, India will become the fourth country to send humans into space; after US, Soviet Union and China. The fact that an Indian is set to venture into space after 40 years in an Indian space craft, makes the mission even more special. (In 1984, Rakesh Sharma became the first Indian to go to space in a Russian space craft - Soyuz). The total cost of the project is Rs 900 crore (around $1billion). PM also announced that by 2035, India will have its own space station. All four astronauts-designate - Group Captains Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, Angad Pratap, Ajit Krishnan and Wing Commander Shubhanshu Shukla - have been undergoing rigorous training for the last few years for the mission. After a year-long training in Russia, they are now being trained in Bengaluru. Among the four, while three of them will be part of Gaganyaan, one will travel with a NASA mission to the International Space Station. The selected pilots will be carried to a low-earth orbit at an altitude of 400 km. After staying there for 3 days, they will be brought back to earth. After the successful moon mission of Chandrayaan-3 last year and the launch of Aditya L-1 solar observatory space craft, this is going to be another ambitious ISRO project.
