I used your technique today to help my daughter with an apron that she was making. We made the neckband and waist ties with the belt loop binder straps as you taught here in this video. Turned out beautiful. Thank you again!!!

Hello Gail thank you for all the awesome videos. For us girls who don't have a baby lock machine do you know where we can purchase generic attachments and fabric guides for our machines. I personally own a singer combo machine and I have tried the singer website and Amazon with no luck. My machine has the plate with the attachment screws. Thanks

Great tip for a very strong strap. I have one question. What do you suggest when sewing straps onto our fabric bags so they don’t rip if something heavy is carried in them. All I know is to sew a square around the end of each strap then sew an X through the middle of the sewn square. Thank you

Can I do this with vinyl?
@GailPatriceDesign5 жыл бұрын
Hi Rosanne, I haven’t tried the handles with vinyl. But if you reinforce them with grosgrain ribbon, I bet it will work. Just not sure about how vinyl will feed thru the belt loop binder. If you experiment, let us all know what you find out. Also if you have a Teflon foot, that will reduce sticking. And lengthen you’re stitch a bit more. Now I’m curious to try it myself! Thanks for watching and the great question!

Gail Yellen thanks for your reply. I have the Triumph and want to see if I can make my bag handles this way. I think it will look more evenly stitched and straight. If you try it I would love to see see how it works. Love your videos.

@@Keto9947 Thanks Rosanne. The vinyl would also repel water. There is also a product formerly called Impwear and is now "Splash." It is water repellant, has a matte finish and isn't stiff. You might want to check it out. I saw it at an Expo and liked it.
