So essentially, Reaper has a native Vocal Rider. Amazing. Thank you for this!

This sounds like a really interesting and useful feature. I think it’s one of those ones. I’m going to have to play with my self. Seeing demonstrated is a little confusing. But I think if I experimented to make a lot more sense. Thanks for sharing. I didn’t even know this existed.

Does reaper have a way to play back the project at faster than actual time like it does during a render?
@tonibarthmusic9 ай бұрын
Hello, yes, you can do that by pressing Shift + + and Shift + - on the OSARA keymap. By default this will also increase/decrease the pitch of your audio items, but you can toggle that on/off by pressing Shift + backspace. Hope that helps.

How did you open the FX parameters?
@tonibarthmusic10 ай бұрын
Hello, you open the FX parameters by pressing p while selecting a track. Hope that helps!
@Satnamtaro10 ай бұрын
@@tonibarthmusic Hello. P is set to panning for me, so I can't get the FX Parameter window to open as well. It would be much appreciated if you could point us to the action that would allow us to do that. Thank you in advance!

@@Satnamtaro The FX parameters list which you can reach by pressing P is a feature contained within the OSARA extension that enables screen reader accessibility for the REAPER DAW. It can be downloaded here: osara.reaperaccessibility.com

Hi can you demonstrate how to make tape stop effect?
@tonibarthmusic10 ай бұрын
Hello and thanks for the suggestion. I've got a video about that on my ToDo list already, I however can't make any promises on when it will happen.
@alphoc920110 ай бұрын
It's a useful video, but your shortcut for fx parameters is "P" while other user's shortcuts may be different. So I wonder, how can we open that "fx parameters" window where you set "peak" without a shortcut? Because it is not visible in the action list.
@DJWolfy239 ай бұрын
I think that this is an osara action. So, if you do not have it installed, it will not appear.

Hello. The P shortcut is an action contained within the OSARA REAPER extension that is responsible for adding accessibility features to REAPER. It can be downloaded here: osara.reaperaccessibility.com/ Hope that helps a bit.

What is that voice thing that keeps reading out parameters ?
@tonibarthmusic9 ай бұрын
Hello. That voice thing is my screen reader. I'm blind and thus have to use my computer with the help of screen reading technology, which mainly works through speech feedback when navigating software. As this channel aims to provide more accessible tutorials to other blind or visually impaired people, my screen reader will be audible in the major part of my videos. Thanks for checking out my video anyway!
@AndyCampbellMusic9 ай бұрын
Ahh I used to be a piano tuner many moons ago, so I spent quite a lot of time with blind people.. They used to use little portable recorder things to take notes in those days.. Mate of mine had his own recording studio he used to run... Not up on the latest technology these days. Well moved on since my day I suspect..

This is admirable, but it's very hard to follow for those who are not trained to follow it. I guess that's okay if your intended audience does not include sighted people. To me, the tech isn't there yet, but I appreciate your effort.
@tonibarthmusic9 ай бұрын
@@Tyrannocaster thanks, that is totally fine. I try to make my videos as easy to understand and follow for everyone, not just visually impaired people, but the typical sighted audience as well, but to make the videos work for VI people the screen reader needs to be audible. If that is a no-go for you thats fine. I'd however appreciate any feedback on how I can improve my videos to get some of the obstacles out of the way too.
@tonibarthmusic9 ай бұрын
@@AndyCampbellMusic Well we still take alot of voice notes nowadays i'd say, although things like these don't require handheld recorders anymore thanks to the mics in our mobiles. I feel like that is something that even everyone else slowly gets the hang of, voice notes are so damn useful :).

I can't download spectrum matcher why?😊
@tonibarthmusic10 ай бұрын
Hello, I don't know, i will need a little more information to help you out. Have you installed ReaPack as instructed on their website, and have you followed my guide in the video to find and install it? Where does it go wrong?
@Tyrannocaster9 ай бұрын
The computer voice - which I presume is there for people with visual problems - is very hard to understand, too sped up, and distracting/irritating as hell. There has to be a better way to help the visually impaired, and I speak as someone on that road.
