I just came across your video so I have an x32 I know that my gain should be at -18db for line level my question is what is a good level db for LR main speaker or would you determine that by the SPL meter for you room

Great video! I was wondering- during sound check vs when service starts, there's a difference in the people meaning sound would need to be louder. How do you account for this seeing as the fader goes up in a logrithmic way?

@@nataliebonsu so gain structure on your PA really is going to be the main thing as well as the boardgame structure. The idea behind the philosophy is that both of those are set correctly. You shouldn’t have to run your faders at full tilt. So when you need more you have more headroom to push the faders up without pushing noise. If you dont have that ability either your PA is tuned wrong or your PA is not strong enough for your space. I have seen both. Does that help/make sense?

@@raycarroll9664 analog zero I believe is -17 on the sq series. Just below zero. I think if you are in between -17 and 0 you are in a good spot.
