I'm still a long-haired Rock and Roller, at 60. But my Grandmother took us to see "The Bill Gaither Trio", from the front row in the Sixties, and I've seen the Gaithers live, a few times with my parents, since I was grown. But, if this performance isn't pleasing to any music lover's ear; then you need to get your hearing checked. I sure do miss seeing this lineup of the Vocal Band. I guess I just assumed they would stay together forever. I actually ran into Guy, after one of their evening shows in Hampton, around 15yrs ago. He had no clue, who this hippie was, who was approaching in the dark, but he spent almost 30 minutes, just having a normal conversation with me, never once acting like he had better things to do. We were both wearing baseball caps, with our ponytails sticking out through the slot in back, and blue jeans. Unforgettable for me.

This make up has been unofficially referred to by quite a few as the Gaither Power Vocal Band. Every part except Bill is a power vocal in the part. You also has probably the two most powerful voices on lead and tenor in Guy and David. They feed off each other and empower rest of the group to sing out. Guy and David sang it best on the Let Freedom Rind DVD concert.

Sorry didn't hear what year this is from, but quite a while ago. Mark is 63 now and Bill is 85. I'm so glad that David has his own KZbin channel. I can listen to him all day.

“Let freedom echo through the lonely streets, where prisons have no key…” hmmm…might we make sure the cells are welded shut first please? It doesn’t sound like a very thought-through statement to me. Other than that, I love these guys and David is the best tenor I have ever heard. God bless Bill, Gloria and all current and former Gaither band members.

The only other song that I would love to hear this make up of the GVB sing was one that hadn’t been written yet. That song would have “brought the house down” in praise and worship for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. That song being “Worthy the Lamb.”

I hate the fact that Penrod left the group because he was overshadowed. Now, im glad hes gone. Thank you, Michael. I don't know why you add Wes. Not really a game changer.
