Hi Folks. I had the privilege of attending this concert. It was 5 hours of this "Gospel" Music. From hearing your reactions concerning God, you are on the right road. The entire group on stage and most in the audience all have a deep personal relationship with God, not so much religious, but that presence of God's Spirit. It is very real. All of this music tells the story of God's love for us through the birth, death and resurrection of His son Jesus Christ. Keep listening and questioning who God/Jesus/Holy Spirit is. As far as the 4 singers, you know David Phelps. The tall gentleman with long hair is Guy Penrod, another phenomenal Voice. The man in between them is Grammy award winner Russ Taft and the gentleman on the right is Bill Gaither. The creator of "The Gaither Vocal Band". Bill and his wife Gloria are probably the most prolific Gospel Music writers of the past 50 years. This is all because God has blessed each of these performers because they use their gifts of music to spread the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as they live out their lives for Him. Thanks for your reaction. David connects emotionally to what he is singing more than any singer I have seen. He is a kind and genuine person also. I agree the world would be a better place if we all would live from a heart of love, but the suffering we go through can make us bitter. Having the Holy Spirit living in us can help us rise above our natural tendencies to be selfish and protective, to reach out with kindness to others as Jesus, who is our example, did. I pray we will all turn to Him to enable us to live a life more like His.

It was nice to see how much you two were touched by this music but it's The God of the music Who really matters and He will not turn away the sinner who comes to Him and puts their trust in Jesus' sacrifice.

That’s what David does to many of us… takes us to a different place.. I am a big fan of his music and talent..he definitely is the best tenor alive today. He considers himself a stylist and can sing anything! Listen to him sing “ I Have Nothing “ .. amazing!

After they sang this song here in Carnage Hall.. Bill Gaither, the oldest man in the group & the leader of the group said that THIS is "David's song" & they would never sing it again unless David was there singing it! I LOVE THAT❣️

The older man with the curly hair? That is Bill Gaither, his wife, Gloria, wrote the words to this. Their music has given inspiration and glory to God for decades. I loved your reaction, your sensitivity to the spirit in which these singers sing is transformational. David Phelps is exceptional, yes, but what you hear in his voice is simply love for God. I enjoy your reaction. You both speak from the heart as you process the music. I also watched your reaction to David Phelps, O Holy Night reaction. I noticed that both videos touched something deep. The faith of David Phelps, the Gaither Band, and those on the videos is faith in God, through His Son Jesus Christ, who carried our sins to the Cross. He took our place on the Cross and made the way for us to have relationship with God. He redeemed us and that is the emotion and message you are hearing and feeling in the videos. Jesus loves you. He lived the perfect life we couldn't live. He died on the Cross, was buried, and on the third day was resurrected from the dead. He ascended to the right hand of God and is returning. He is our salvation. 🙂

There is a history to david phelps when he was a boy his parents seen that he had a talent. So they puthim in musical an voice school he went on to college singing was offered several singing opportunities even some classical music. But he choose to follow god an sing gospel music. An this is me i believe god blessed david an when he sings things you can clearly see that he believes the words in the songs but he feels these words in his soul an believes. An it shows in his performance he is truly blessed by god an i can't help but believe that in heaven when the angels sing with their angelic voices it sounds similar to david

David Phelps is the greatest singer and storyteller You should check out his other songs. " NO MORE NIGHT" (which David wrote), "We Shall Behold Him" , "He's Alive". "End of the Beginning" Now there is a song that is the Official song for Alzheimer's and Dementia which is "HELLO BEAUTIFUL" . AND "Let the Glory Come Down" from the Christmas Special. Have you heard him sing "O Holy Night" That song has been viewed as the best of the best. People have reacted to that song from everybody. Thanks for this reaction! Check out David Phelps song “Just As I Am.” The words, the sheer artistry of his arrangements, songwriting and delivery is remarkable. The questions you are asking about humanity are the question a relationship with Jesus Christ answers. I was an atheist until age 30 when someone really explained to me who Jesus is and why He came to sacrifice himself to pay the penalty for my sins. He has changed my life and that was 42 years ago…
