The Fairfield Four were one of the finest groups to keep the tradition going. I got to be friends with Dickie Freeman the bass, Rev. Richardson and James Hill, and all were a great bunch of guys, and I miss them all. I only got to see and meet Sam McCrary.a couple of times before this legend passed. They're still performing, and the newer members sound great!

I couldn't count the times I've turned to these Fairfield Four. They are very good. Watching them sing together is a treat. The way they watch each other is something for wannabe singers to learn. I can't get the volume up high enough sometimes...AND I love to watch the Gaither group jaw drop smiling at the class act they are experiencing.

There is so much to unpack here.....the Fairfield Four is soo amazing!....never to be repeated among gospel spiritual vocal groups....nothing will ever hold candle because time and circumstance have changed......those harmonies are one of a kind in time and space. The white southern audience is caught between feeling the spirit and feeling their racist roots and the tension is evident....this should be on the time capsule put into outer space.....God bless the Fairfield Four!!!!!
