I went to school with George Younce's youngest daughter who married Ernie Haas. Right now in Stow, Ohio (my hometown), George Younce has a tribute flag hanging up on a telephone pole with flags for other veterans as well. I get to see it pretty often when I drive by which is always nice. George would say he doesn't need this old house any more! (that's a song he did of you aren't familiar with it-- very good song)

I love this group. The audience is really superficial. A bit on the phony side for sure. I noticed when they were not aware the camera was on them. The expressions tended to be stoney blanked. But for a very few. As soon as they were aware of the camera focusing on them...All wide holier than thou smiles and look of enjoyment. For sure the camera doesn't lie. People do. On a good note. AWSOME worship group. Love them.

At the time, Homecoming had more traditional gospel singers than contemporary. Most of the crowd is older people, like Jake Hess, James Blackwood, and the Speer Family, who all were raised in a time when gospel was church hymn singing with a light piano, very formal. Music as upbeat as this was frowned upon in their day, for some odd reason. Probably because of the modern pop feel to it. Despite that, most of them seemed to enjoy it, even the older folks.
