I grew up on this Southern Gospel music influenced by my mom. The Stamps, the Prophets, The Blackwood Brothers et al used to play non-stop in our house. I remember going to ‘all night sings’ in Kitchener, Ontario when I was a kid. Never tire of this music.

It’s so wonderful to be able to share these songs and these voices and these thoughts and testimonies with my daughter, the way I shared and still share them with my mother. It's Southern Gospel music that ministers to my heart. I do like to listen to a good, anointed sermon, but this music has always brought me closer to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I just wished that more people today would truly experience this. The world, or should I say some of the people are going in a direction never seen before. It's not like the " good ol days", I pray one day soon, and very soon, that will take place and we will have a revival like never before. In Jesus name.

Just a little talk with Jesus, any time. It's like calling to heaven through a telephone. The line is never busy, no hang ups, no put on hold! He's always there. Even though I may not have any pressing needs I just invite Him, uh, just come by Lord, just for a chat! I thank Him for what He's already done and for what He will do in the future as I follow. Sometimes if the day is dark, he just brightens it up! Sometimes I just tell Him, Jesus, I love you and I never knew love like this until I met you!!!

when i was a little kid, i grew up in a small town. I used to walk down to the black church, sit on the curb and listen to the good music. I really enjoyed it, and it made me want to learn music....which i did. took piano from the age of 5 to 17. miss this good ole gospel music nowadays.

Dan Calhoun I’m Australian, and I took a trip to the USA 10 years ago, and I just wanted to see some southern gospel music, spent a bit of time in Georgia and almost got mugged 15 times. The next weekend I took a day trip to New York and my travelling companion and I were just too tired to drive back to Baltimore so we found the first motel in New Jersey, while checking in I hear the music I travelled half the planet to hear, so I follow the sound, and walk into a conference room, and it was a full blown stomping and clapping southern gospel meeting. I just stood at the back of the room with my jaw on the floor. How I just happened to walk in to that, I still cannot explain.
