This song came into my mind this morning while I sat reading a book written by the late Catherine Marshall. My thoughts had drifted off remembering a broken dream that had caused a great deal of emotional pain to me. I laid my book in my lap as a tear rolled down my cheek, and I once again felt the hurt and shame of that disappointment. I became aware of words from a song going through my mind and I began to pay attention. The words. . . “Give them all to Jesus, shattered dreams, wounded hearts broke and torn. Give them all to Jesus and He will turn your sorrow into joy.” I knew the Lord was talking to me through this song. I haven’t heard this song in years. I looked it up which is what brought me here this morning. Beautiful and timeless in its message.

I think of a child that has a favorite toy or in even our adult life… something we hold near and dear to our hearts… marriage, job, career, friendships and much more… sometimes those priceless, prized possessions break… fall apart… shatter, etc. WE CAN GIVE IT ALL TO JESUS. To overall, pray and stop worrying… casting everything on Him. A great lullaby type hymn to sing to our children. That’s how I looked at it. 🥰
