I used this to encourage someone about our neighbour who's 84, lost his wife and daughter in October and December last year, and doesn't recognize anyone. Yet he's been a believer in Christ so even though he doesn't know people and can't do much for himself, the Lord is faithful and still lives in that old house. Glory to God! It's a very touching song.

JD Sumner's voice is soothing. It reminds me of 1Corinthians 5:1 "For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands." May my hand remain firmly in the Lord's grip for as long as I live. 🙏🙏 I am thinking of Joni Eareckson Tada who is in this video. She has powerful testimony of the Lord's presence in her life even though she is on a wheelchair.

Marie Catanzero and I wrote The Lord Still Lives In This Old House in 1976. The song was written in Flemish and composed while we were in flight to the Olympics in Munich. Marie Catenzero died at the opening ceremony of that Olympics.
@tonytrout43213 ай бұрын
Wow! 1976??? I never realized the song was written that long ago! If I'm not mistaken, and I know that I'm taking this a bit off-topic, but J.D. apparently had walked away from the Lord for a time. Do you know who it was that brought him back to the Lord? Christian comedian Mark Lowry. I believe that there's a video of JDs testimony here on KZbin and he confirms that it indeed was Mark Lowry that helped to bring him back to the Lord.
