I've been playing Town Star for a bit and I'd say that Gala Games is too greedy. You basically need to invest to be able to "play to earn". Just my two cents.

Your balanced approach is very nice; unfortunately for me, having worked in technology forever, the lack of transparency, roadmap, etc. is a major red flag. Agreed that Gala Games has a communication issue within their ecosystem. As a Townstar gamer for a few months now, it was extremely frustrating to learn the hoops and loops about the game and GALA ecosystem and the nilly willy governance of their NFTs, Games and in-games components and mechanics leads to plenty of variance and curveballs. But it’s great that this ‘indie developer’ hasn’t any VC tag to it, so development is very much still in their hands where they are still early. However I hope they get an established player to lead them into the global future of gaming, because there are large gaps that exists today that they simply cannot fill. The games they have are awesome nevertheless. One main gripe though, they are more pay-to-win than play-to-earn for competitive gamers.

When you talked about the founders of Gala wanting to lift people out of poverty, it kind of made me chuckle. Their NFT's for example that you will need to make money in their games (for the most part) are far from cheap, only wealthy people are able to afford them. That said it's early days, so hopefully as things move forward that goal they have for helping the impoverished of society will become a reality.

Great content! Please do a video on P2E sustainability. How can any of these games be sustainable and not be pure ponzi? All other p2e game economies are failing hard. Do you think Town star will succeed or fail? It seems sure to fail unless a token burn mechanism is initiated or the supply is capped and the game is restructured in order to provide a true in game economy like mirandus might be. I think this is the the most important subject of p2e at this time. Please do some research and discuss it. I'll link you whatever I find as well. This might all be easier if gala was more transparent. Do you think they're secretive about p2e mechanics because they have an ingenious approach they don't want competitors to know about? Or because they just don't know, they're playing it by ear, because all of this is one giant p2e experiment? Thanks for your hard work and great videos.
