I'm so happy you had an amazing time at Galacon! I wish you stayed for Prince Whateverer tho! That crowd was the most wild brony crowd you'd ever see!

maybe next time, i will stick around for the concerts. that's the magic part about annual cons: you can go again and see the things you missed last time.

Thank you for coming! It was great meeting you, even if it was just for a short moment. I wish I had more time to hangout, it was quite busy. You *do* speak German quite well! I'm always surprised when I expect to hear something in English and then it's suddenly German, because I can understand it, but it takes me a few seconds to recognize what's off ;) Yes, there is even German fandom music, although the Germans are split about how they feel about it. 😉 Often, it's mostly songs you would sing along while being drunk, but then again, that's how most Bronies usually end up at meetups and events. The song playing in your video was by Zecora95, a musician known for covering famous songs and ponifying the lyrics. The Sweetie Bot panel looks interesting, unfortunately I missed that, I'll have to watch the recording. (Luckily, GalaCon streams and records all their panels!) If you look closely, there should be a signature by me on Sweetie Bot's right hind leg; I was asked to sign her back in May at Eponafest when I first met her creator. Cons can be quite busy (ask me how I know 😅), but if you have the time, I recommend attending the charity auction, even if you don't intend to buy anything. The good things are usually not affordable anyway, but for one thing, it's great to see what amazing things the community created, how much people are willing to spend for charity, but (at least for me) most importantly: The charity auctions for some cons (I'll mostly speak for GalaCon, PonyCon Holland and Czequestria) are full of wacky shenanigans between the host, the staff and the attendees. It's very funny and just that might make visiting the auction totally worth it. The menu at the biergarten is just iconic. They were totally overwhelmed and sold out completely until they had nothing left. I heard the attendees drank as much cider just on Thursday (before the con!) as they usually sell in an entire month and the owner was frantically looking to get more in the entire county.

Thanks for all the detailed remarks and for suggesting the con! I hope to attend another pony con next year, but I don't know which one yet.

Already in the first minute I saw myself xD That was my first pony con too. Totally amazing experience!

It is crazy for me that people just started to visit Pony Cons, my first was in 2014 and I thought I was late to the Party back then haha Great that there are still people discovering it new
@CookieFonster Жыл бұрын
i never knew how many different pony cons there actually are until about a year ago. for the longest time, i thought there were none other than bronycon (which ended 2019).

@@CookieFonster Thats wild. I knew about most of them shortly after I was a little bit more intersted in Pony Stuff.

Just one minute in the video and I'm surprised seeing myself on screen looking smug as ever. It was also my first con and i can't wait for the next one

Nice that you also liked Galacon 23. :D It awesome that the first mlp thing you show in your video is my Rainbow Dash drawing. She was 5 hours of work.

the moment i first saw that rainbow dash drawing (on the day before the con), i knew galacon would be a wild ride
@larsn9710 ай бұрын
@@CookieFonster The drawing of r/place Rainbow Dash was actually done on Thursday. Since I knew from previous Galacon conventions that chalk drawing takes a lot of time, I stared on her early to have more time during the convention. So by the time you saw her she was already one day old. ^c^ Too bad that, did not find the time on Friday to finish her or start on the book of harmony. Since you live in the US, there are also some great conventions, so you do not need to travel overseas for the next Galacon. Though I can definitely see the appeal to attend a second time. If you like fandom music and camping Everfree Encore might be also something for you. As a Bronies music festival it is deftly something unique that you can not find in the US.

@@larsn97 i would love to go to galacon 2024, although i already paid for another trip to europe in may. it could happen depending on how many vacation days my next job gives me. maybe it would make more sense for me to attend a pony con closer to home in 2024.
@larsn9710 ай бұрын
@@CookieFonster In this case I would also recommend conventions closer to home. Then you could spend more on merch or save up money for bad times or conventions in the future. I think close ones to you are Harmonycon in Dallas and Marefair in Orlando. Harmonycon will happen already on February 2nd - 4th and Marefair is not yet announced (let's hope this convention will happen for a second time). :) During your EU trip EponaFest may happen (21.5 - 22.5.) in north Italy.
