I haven't been this excited for a game launch in a long time, this is exactly what I want to see pre-launch so I can decide for myself if it is my sort of game. High quality playthroughs like this are so much better for me than previews of people talking about a game where they are the star of the video and not the game. Roll on Match 4th.

The game was interesting up to launching the shuttles, and then those back to back turns showing the day in space and then one arriving, the game went to a new height and I think this will be worth backing. Fun setting, some decent thematic actions, lots of choices and decision space.

Great teach! I feel like the game is all about putting guests into spaceships, launch them and repeat the whole process till the end of a game. Looks good but feels quite flat eventually...

Maybe I missed something in the teach, but what's the thematic reasoning behind spending ads after your guests have already bought tickets for the flight? Surely that'd make more sense doing that to attract them in the first place.

Great question! One of the biggest elements of typical cruises on the water are the excursions on the destinations. Usually when you arrive at a destination, you’re often advertised to to go on excursions or take a trip to the beach or buy something made locally, etc. And with Galactic Cruise, we really wanted to capture that theme, and because these destinations were likely built specifically for the Galactic Cruise company, it would be of upmost importance to get people off the ship and to interact with the excursions. And the cruise line would most likely do this through advertising once the ship has landed. We also wanted to incorporate the different types of guests and the fact that they would be most interested in their preferred destination, but might like something on another destination if convinced they would enjoy it.

It looks stunning and it's my kind of gameplay. A lot's of interesting choices to make. You did a great job explaining the game. Now, I am still in doubt about backing or not. Since the Madeira Collector's Edition debacle I am reluctant to back anything on KS or Gamefound. I rather buy at retail lately. The only exception I permitted myself was games from EGG/Lacerda combo. But this one is pulling me towards backing. Another risk I see is that this seems an independent self made publisher without any track record on running a succesfull KS campaign. They certainly have my sympathy. I will decide when the KS page launches and see what shipping costs are.

Will you be doing a solo playthrough? The game looks fantastic but I’m on the fence as it’s going to be an expensive pledge and looks very AP-heavy which isn’t great for my group. If the solo mode is really robust that might help with my decision making!

The Kickstarter will be English-only, but we would love to work with localization partners after the campaign to bring the game to market in a variety of languages (if there is demand). Thanks for your interest! 🚀
