They played a WW1 song, I think it was to flash the player back to BF1 for a bit so they'd really feel invigorated to fight, like the song was played to cheer them up and to get them into fighting spirit, and I must say it worked for me.

In Wolfenstein: The New Order (spoilers), you can choose to save one of two people at the end of Chapter 1, Private Probst Wyatt III, or Wing Commander Fergus Reid. If you save Wyatt, then he gets pinned by a Supersoldat 1946 and sings "Just pack up your troubles in your old kit-bag and smile, smile, smile!" But if you save Fergus, he sings "God save our gracious king, long live our noble king, long live the king!" By quoting him and saying "Fergus ftw" I was saying that I like Fergus better than Wyatt, thinking I had found a fellow Wolfenstein player. Obviously I was mistaken, though the opening takes place in an alternate-history WWII, so I should have known this was probably sung during WWII.
