Prime Video's The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power brings to screens for the very first time the heroic legends of the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth's history. Just something I caught but I could be wrong: If you listen closely, when Halbrand takes Galadriel's arm, the music changes in mood. It sounds powerful, but the choir in the background deepens into a more villainous tone, as if there's something wrong with the seemingly good moment. Halbrand's theme is played, but it's different than how it usually sounds because he's much closer to power. Love seeing the little clues across the show.

how did they fit 300 soldiers, horses, provisions and weapons on those tiny ships? and how did they know how many orcs they were going to face? what if there were 5,000 orcs? and why did they open the sails before the bridge?

I get why a lot of people dislike the show. It just doesn't quite capture the essence of Middle-earth as I know it. The dialogue and character actions can feel cringeworthy at times. While the music is beautiful, it doesn't always match Howard Shore's style. Some characters are forgettable, not what you'd expect. And the biggest disappointment is the lack of loyalty to Tolkien's original vision. Jackson did justice to Tolkien's masterpiece in his films, where every scene felt vital. But with "The Hobbit," they dragged it out. And now with this series, they're veering even further from the source material. It had potential, but it fell short. The visuals are impressive, though; it seems like that's where most of the budget went. Despite its flaws, I still found some enjoyment because, well, it's more Middle-earth content, and the ending was decent. But with the backlash from fans, the hefty budget, and the typical sequel curse, I'm worried about Season 2.

Unless those boats are a mile deep there's no way they have room for all the horses and other soldiers onboard. Why can mighty Numenor only rustl up three boats and a bunch of barely trained teenagers? Why are people in full armour given that they have a long voyage ahead of them? It all looks very nice, the music is great but the writing, and the decision making behind how stuff looks on screen is just terrible.

The problem for me was the angles looked like they were ...a bit off cause of the lighting but... I was still stunned by Galadriel
