I liked the coupe, I had the loan of one for a week, it was metallic dark green with black outs, great car for a 6ft 2" person and good street power. I wanted to buy on but never was able to locate one here in australia second hand.

Great work Tom, it's been a while since the last upload. In the future are you planning performance mods for this beauty or just going to keep her factory original? I've actually got a new Garrett T04b V-trim turbo w/ the BEP dsm housing. It's a direct bolt on for the vr4 I'd be willing to let you have it for about half what I paid, I've also got a new set of 650cc AFI injectors & a new walbro 255 pump kit. If you're keeping it stock that would be good too. Sorry for the sales pitch, keep up all the hard work.

Hi there, I do have a timing belt video. It's not 4G63 specific, but I made sure it applies to any car with a timing belt. That said, I believe the best tools are the factory service manual Timing belt section and the how to on the DSM VFAQ.

Hey Tom, great video... Might I suggest using Sonax or Aerospace 303 products on your interior/dash? It will prevent the fake shine and not break down the plastics/vinyl. For leather I'd suggest using a cleaner before a conditioner, and not over-saturating the leather in conditioner, as it is supposed to be a soft matte finish.
@TomsTurboGarage
@TomsTurboGarage 11 жыл бұрын
Thank you and I appreciate the suggestions. I have used those products in the past and they are superior. I was just using what I had on the shelf, which I believe were a Christmas gift from my mother in law last year.

I'm surprised you didn't have to use any detergent, came out beautifully. I live in rainy Seattle, so sun drying isn't an option. What other drying options would be good for this? Also, how much PSI was your washer?
@TomsTurboGarage
@TomsTurboGarage 11 жыл бұрын
Hi Steven, thanks and luckily the carpet was just dingy, not stained badly. Stains usually require a detergent, but only if they're really bad. You can air dry a carpet indoors, just hang it up and point a fan or two at it for however long needed. The pressure washer is 1,900psi and 1.5gpm.

Great video! I have restored many car interiors like this. I too find the pressure washer is the best way to clean the carpet.. I noticed Tom doesn't use any detergent. Thank you Peter! I'm glad you enjoyed the track, I make my own music for each video. I would love to be able to spend more time on the music and actually making standalone songs with titles.

Hi Tom! Love all your videos on the Galant, ( 2nd time im watching them right now! ) But how is the front seat belt working on the VR4? does not look like regular seat belts? Becouse regular seat belts like my Galant Gen 8 is bolted one in B pillar, one in the floor under B pillar and the third in the seat.. But here it looks like it's bolted in the A pillar? Sorry for not the best english but I hope you understand my question :)

Hi Robin and good to meet you! Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad you enjoy the videos! Regarding the seat belts, in the US we have these crazy automatic ones. The shoulder belt automatically wraps around you while the lap belt still has to be belted manually. Some US folks get the parts and convert their car to standard "non-automatic" seat belts.

Tom's Turbo Garage Hmm I think I understand! But best would be if you wanted to capture just a little video to show it for me? :) But my feeling is that i really prefer the one we got here in Sweden, , but would be fun to see in action on video! :)
