Absolutely fascinating to be able to get a 360° view of Bruno. Hopefully, his care team will come up with options to relieve the pressure he is experiencing.

He's an amazing animal. The Zoo team is so great with the care they give their animals. It's wonderful they have other medical partners who have the necessary equipment needed and are willing and able to assist with what is needed. How wonderful and fascinating it is that they could do a CT scan and get a 360 degree look at Bruno's body to help determine what is causing his problem. ❤️🐢❤

I worked at a veterinary specialty center in Illinois. While I was there we did a ct on an electric eel. We did mri on a snake. It was fascinating !!

How does that work with an electric eel?

@@MsJellyBellyLove It was so cool. It was from the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Their vets and staff brought it in their semi. It was in a large rubber garbage type container. They put the anesthesia in the water and they had big rubber gloves to pick it up. It had a large tumor on its head and unfortunately it was cancerous. It didn’t live very much longer when they got it back to the aquarium. It was definitely one of the most interesting things I’ve seen in my career working for veterinary clinics. This specialty center was like a true hospital for animals. It had Dermatology, ER, Oncology, Radiology. …I was a surgical coordinator for 7 board certified surgeons. The animals had excellent care ! Thanks for asking I love it !

Wondering…. Can you fix Bruno a “wheelchair” affixed under his “belly”. ie… a weight relief gadget. I have spinal issues and sometimes just taking the pressure of “weight” off,relieves the pain. He could still walk with his own feet,with just the bulk of his weight supported.

Humans are so unbelievably incredible when we can be. Like who came up with the formula for tortoise pain killers???? That takes passion, dedication and brilliance. Now I'm interested in the physical therapy given to a tortoise with such issues. Imagine what a heaven this planet would be if we took care of all animals (and each other) like this? Today I saw a very, very depressing video showing sea lions sick and ending up on California's beaches. Apparently the rising temperatures are causing the algae to somehow become neurotoxic to the anchovies who eat them and subsequently the sea lions who eat the anchovies etc. Seeing a sea lion have a seizure just ripped my heart into a million pieces.

Maybe Bruno can eat Comfrey leaf or drink Comfrey tea water. If his body can have Comfrey its a Bone Knitter. It builds bones. If he can have yucca it can help his bone building regime if these are acceptable to his diet.

Are there any animals that limp like humans?
@idonthaveausername.80352 ай бұрын
Humans have a very unusual gait on account of being entirely bipedal in past infancy. However, I imagine other bipedal animals like ostriches may end up with similar limps.
