I agree that we should keep Howe as manager but Howe has to take a certain amount of responsibility for the the situation we are in. Eddie was the one who was determined to keep players like Tripps, Miggy, Wilson 12 months ago and made a point of speaking publicly and calling them "integral" to his team. Fast forward 12 months Miggy started two league games from March 2024 until the day he left, Tripps is a backup RB and surprise surprise Wilson is injured and has contributed basically nothing to the club over the last year.

I think it's a big risk but with a stroke of luck we could get passed it with no major injuries. I agree...what on earth our our recruitment team doing? Tzimas has signed for Brighton for 20m. We keep saying we can't sign players in Jan as difficult and an NUFC tax will mean costs will be inflated. Excuse for lazy recruitment if you ask me. Every team around us is strgthening, and we look like we have no idea how to work in transfer window...leaving everything to the last day just like the Elanga and Guehi deals in the last transfer window it's pathetic. I must be in the the very small minority that actual thinks paul Mitchell has done a fantastic job this window. Yes hes not made any signings but he articulated that to the fans before. The previous regimes have not been able to shift the players needed to mitigate the psr problem. They have failed to ahift the dead wood for the last three or four seasons. Mitchell comes in identified the problem and has managed to shift majority of that deadwood for reasonable fees and all in one window, not to mention fetching 15 million plus add ons for kelly absolute genious play. The work he has done is being over shadowed by the incomings which i understand but the man is putting in the work so we can get round the obstacles with psr. People have to be patient and trust the process.

We’re not even in a position like Villa who had attractive talent in the squad like Costa or Duran, to make money from!! We have only the likes of Miggy, Kelly, Targett or Longstaff. Not exactly going to give us a cash positive situation selling them but probably the best way to clear the decks. We got no real benefit from selling Elliot Anderon or Yakuba Minteh (bringing in two keepers, one to balance up a PSR transaction !!) and that for me is what this whole PSR/APT shit show was tweaked for back in 2021! We made our PSR in the summer we were tols for that period, we have increased PL money coming from a new righta deal, we were apparaeny on track for a 25m profit last account details were talked about, one 70m loss dropps off soon, weve sold 30m of players so what is going on ?? 😂 can someone just do the maths properly and explain where we are this psr year ?? Assume if with the player sales it means were about 60m up which means added to one years 70m loss were into about a 10m loss over 2 years meaning we czn in theory go put and chuck out 95m in upfront fees next window ??

I'll take a stab at it, especially as the league is ditching PSR in favor of squad cost controls. If we don't make Europe, the league will allow us to spend up to 85% of our annual revenue, but UEFA has a tighter number. If we're in Europe, we'd only be allowed to spend up to 70% of our annual revenue. Football finance guru Kieran Maguire estimates our improved revenue numbers will be about 300 Million. So under UEFA's limit, we'd only be allowed to spend up to 210 Million. Our wages are already up to 170 million (possibly a little higher). So that only leaves 40 Million for transfers and increased wages from new contracts. So the club isn't gaslighting us. It really is tight under the restrictions.
