Abhishek Bachchan is one of the best when it comes to communication. The way he retrospected what worked and did not work for him and how he managed to impress with his second innings is commendable. His intelligence makes him different than his contemporaries. These are the kinds of roles Abhishek deserves and should pick up. He might not be a Super Star masala material like how his contemporaries are but that is what makes him different. Be it Guru or Breathe in a Shadow, Ghoomer, Manmarziyan or now I want to talk. This was the combo I was really waiting for. And hats off to Shoojit Sircar for always staying true to the story and craft. One director who always excites the audience and comes up with something different each time. Thanks BR for this interview.

Abhishek & Rangan can talk for hours and I can hear them without a break. Abhishek has not only become one of the most eloquent actors that we have, but also someone who has immense knowledge of the craft. I have seen 3-4 interviews of this film/press junket but Rangan's the best because how his intellect aligns with these fine gentleman. Do watch such kind of films in theater and encourage good cinema.

Abhishek spoke very insightfully (if slightly over-bearingly), but what is happening to his accent?? He never had that "super-posh" accent before. I'm not saying this for teasing. To me, it talen away some of the authenticity of what he's saying. I hope he realizes that as an actor especially, that it's not just what you say but how you say it. Stephen Fry once said, "A true thing, badly expressed, becomes a lie.".
@KeshvhjbАй бұрын
With due respect have you seen any of his previous interviews?? From Manmarziyan to majority of his films his accent has been same, he has studied abroad so his accent is like that
@TruptiG3591Ай бұрын
@Keshvhjb with due respect, do you understand the differences in foreign accents or do you just lump them all together? I've followed his interviews since refugee. He had a bit of a posh americanized accent, which, as you say, might be from when he studied. But watch his Koffee with Karan with preity zinta. There he sounds more Indian than he did before. These days it's neither fully american nor Indian, but as a strong posh old school british tinge to it, similar to how his father speaks. That's why it sounds put on. It's new. And it's not even consistent throughout.

Shoojit has been technically working longer than AB Jr., he only made his directorial debut in 2005 with Yahaan. Also Shoojit has much better track record than AB. What seniority is AB talking about? Why does he always want to put people in their place unprovoked? Why so insecure ?

Stop. Please. Abhishek is such an intelligent, articulate, warm, sensitive, curious and analytical individual. He also is a wonderful, duty bound son, brother, husband and father. He has been getting a bad rap on social media from Aishwarya fans who can only talk about her beauty. Being beautiful is not an accomplishment. Neither does being beautiful absolve one of faults or make one a saint. The man here is discussing his work, the process that goes into it, talking about a fairly serious film made by a highly accomplished director. Let Abhishek have his moment in the sun. There is no fake laugh, pretend accents, or emphasis on external appearances. Just pure authenticity. Let it sink.

This guys doesn't deserve ASH joker
@jjbjjbhАй бұрын
Ash doesn’t deserve this good a man who is intelligent, articulate, thoughtful, sincere and sensitive. Aishwarya deserves the Salmans or Viveks of Bollywood. LOL. Being married into a cultured, sane, elite family is too difficult an assignment for the woman whose prime fame has come from a shallow source like her external looks.
@nishal1306Ай бұрын
Oh please, Aishwarya has always been a better actor than Abhishek. Didn’t you ever watch her good films such as Hum dil de chuke sanam, Kandukondain, Iruvar, Raincoat, PS, and many more? She’s also a very talented dancer which Abhishek can’t even touch. She has a lot to offer. She’s also very smart and articulate but she does have social awkwardness and is not entirely cut out for a public facing job, leave alone a celebrity of this stature. But she has proved time and again that she’s extremely dedicated and can excel at her craft. Imagine Abhishek at 21 years old speaking like Aishwarya the way she did at beauty pageants. Even Priyanka can’t speak like Aishwarya. Aishwarya belongs to a regular middle class family but look at the way she has groomed herself. If you think she was offered things on a platter just because she was beautiful it could not be further from the truth.
