Bought the A52 5G two weeks ago and i have absolutely no complaints whatsoever! It is a great phone , with nice cameras and snapy performance. I strongly recommend it if you are in the look out for a midranger !

Great analysis you made here. I just purchased the A52 4G in Brazil (same specs, but a 90 Hz display and no 5G) for the equivalent to 290 US dollars during a Samsung anniversary sale in September 2022. An extraordinary mid-range smartphone, very good cameras (my son has the S21fe and the final results are very similar. Also, I get over 9 hours of screen time with the screen set up to 60 Hz - over 14 hours of total time

I would have loved to go with the S20 FE but damn .... The headphone jack is back for me after 4 years without it. The A52s finally feels like truly complete smartphone again. No shenanigans, just the features that are really helpful in the day to day life. Especially now with the A52s, the processor is changed so my biggest concern is gone. No way I would have gone with the S20 FE

Not quite a full comparison. I missed the sound of the speaker(s), the QI wireless charging is more than charging alone. When you have a smart watch, you can charge it with the S20FE, but not at the A-series. These things are in every day use more important than playing a game. Overall a nice comparison though.

Went to my local BestBuy, the 120hz screen on the S20 FE 5G looks fucking amazing, like that smoothness is so pleasing to the eye, but I'm going with the A52 5G cause headphone jack, sucks imma have to start carrying a DAC with me again, gonna miss my LG V20 stupid shutdowns of 2G and 3G networks or I would easily keep using my LG V20

the main difference is the video quality and OIS on the S20FE , I owned an A52 and photos and video were not good as expected by its price . yes,the A52 has OIS but it doesn't work properly on 4k recording.

Don't buy the exynos version, there's a lot of heating issues and battery drain issues. If you have the budget go for the fe 5g with snapdragon or simply go for the a 52 5g

please confirm these two fones have a permenant missed message alert. You have them in your hand, so easy to go to settings aod/alert and see if there s a menu option for permenant. some fones have "allways on display" but its not! My mi 10 lite 5g I just bought is 10 mins maximum

Call quality on my A52 5g is poor, I constantly have people asking me to repeat what I said. I'm sending it back as the fingerprint sensor packed up after 10 days. Hope that helps

They both have 2 speakers so should be about the same (i.e. excellent). But the A52 5G has ye olde headphone jack (remember those?) which enables glorious uncompressed and unmolested audio to reach your ears with zero lag. You can add one of these to the S20 FE by purhasing a USB dongle, or as I like to call them a "digital testicle" swinging below your expensive phone! The S20 FE is a 2020 phone and will end with Android 12 next year, whereas the A52 5G is only 3 months old and will have the next 2 Android versions. So it will last a year longer on the software side.

In Canada at best buy a52 is 700$ and s20 fe is 765$. S20 fe 5g is clear winner with better cameras (see camera comparisons) and there's only 5g ver in black which looks hideous imo. So your also getting 5g, and also 120 hz, thinner bezels, better fingerprint, better night time more, 30x space zoom, more flagship experience, much more snappier chipset, all for 65$ cad more. Clear winner.
