In this Halloween tinged epic, Ducko and Max finally debate each other once again to determine what happens when these two ghost-related pop culture characters duke it out! Will the Ghostbusters send Beetlejuice back to the neitherworld? Or will the Ghost of the Most prove to be too much for them to handle?

With how much more powerful Beetlejuice is, I’d imagine his fun-loving nature would lend to him toying with The Ghostbusters more. He won’t see the four as an immediate threat, and this would allow The Ghostbusters to get the research they need. Even in spite of cloning, their immediate numbers advantage would help. Most missions the Ghostbusters and rang up like Hotline Bling, so they may have information anyway.

I think I have to side with the Juice on this one, mainly because in the scenario section, it was specified that BJ is already aware of the Ghostbusters, whereas they don't have the same privilege. If the Ghostbusters were given background knowledge on Beetlejuice, then they'd likely be able to come out on top given their experiences with similar threats, even if they were on a smaller scale or needed help to beat them. But without it, they'd be too in over their head to really keep up with and deal with whatever antics he could throw at them, especially since stats weren't equalized here. Plus, while I can see the logic behind Ducko's point with the Maitlands, they only beat him at the very end of the movie where they were more used to their ghostly forms and abilities, and even then the most they did was distract and annoy him until Barb rode in on the sandworm. There's obviously stuff BJ has to watch out for with them being trained and experienced ghost hunters and all, but given how he's going into this being aware of them from the get-go, then I think he'll be less likely to screw around and go straight for the good stuff. Even though, knowing him, he'd totally start off with that regardless. Also sorry Max but Ducko is right about cartoon BJ being a simp. Has no baring on this match though but still.

Guys his actual name is "Betelgeuse", why the hell does the video's title say "Beetlejuice"? Shaking your head. Uuuuuuh anyway who wins? Probably Betelgeuse. A lot of Ducko's examples of the Ghostbusters dealing with ghosts that have powers similar to Michael Keaton were fine and all, but boy is it a damn shame that there's a big difference between a bunch of individual ghosts with their own single powers, and a single powerful ghost that has all of them at once. For the Ghostbuster's fight against Betelgeuse to be at all similar to the situations the Busters were in, he'd have to both use only a single of his powers at a time, and also just let them utilise specific methods for overcoming those abilities. As Max also said, The Player is the closest to Betelgeuse that the Ghostbusters have ever faced, and he literally gave them the chance to win, do you really think Betelgeuse would put down a slot machine and say "if y'all motherfuckers can get a triple jackpot I'll lose for you"? And I'm not entirely sure they could capture Betelgeuse. Betelgeuse's power is likely equivalent to a Class 10 and above ghost, of which... they cannot really catch. The Toy Ghost was killed by Ecto-2 blowing up, the Ghostmaster had to expend most of its power to be captured, and Ray even outright said traps couldn't capture him when he was at his full power, the Player never gave them a chance, and Tenebraug was only able to be beaten by destroying an orb that was linked to it. And ghosts like Samhain, Boogieman and Sandman are only class 6. (Also guys Samhain is pronounced "Sown or Saa-weyn" not Sam-Hane). Though admittedly they're only class 6 within the Board Game, where Class 6 is the highest, but shut your stupid face. Also I'm not even certain if Betelgeuse would be similar enough to ghosts in Ghostbusters to be effected the same way by their technology, unless we go with verse equalisation. All ghosts in Ghostbusters are considered to be "ectoplasmic", and to my limited knowledge I don't think Betelgeuse is known for having a heavy relation to ectoplasm. The Ghostbusters would essentially be fighting a ghost that just doesn't fit the ghost laws of their world. Betelgeuse ironically also could probably have an easier time trapping them than vice versa, Proteus could do it so Betelgeuse probably could too. In fact Proteus only failed because for some stupid reason he set up his prison in a way that Janine could just waltz in and shoot some mirrors to set them free. Generally the Ghostbusters haven't been able to take on deity tier characters like Betelgeuse anyway. Aibell was beaten because of a technicality in game, Astorath had to be beaten with a hydrogen bomb detonated by an ally who betrayed him, Boogaloo was beaten just because they proved Halloween still exists, Cathulhu got zapped by lightning and all that did was make him go to sleep, Cernunnos was beaten with the magic of... witches..., The Dark One was beaten by a song that only effects him, so on. Now there are certainly examples that contradict these of course. Chi-You was a god that could fight the Ghostbusters and Ninja Turtles at the same time, but was still somehow captured, though it's likely this was due to him expending his power too much, like with Ghostmaster. The Mistress was a Gozer tier god that was just captured in a regular circle trap, but circle traps don't exist until the time of Extreme Ghostbusters, so there's little reason the Real Ghostbusters should have it. I guess one could argue that Death being catchable might mean Betelgeuse is too, given Death is probably one of few characters I can certainly say is more powerful than Betelgeuse within the Ghostbusters franchise, though he rarely got to show off his powers. However Death was never captured by a ghost trap, only by a magical bag. Utilising weird wibbly magic nonsense trapped Death, and Death could *only* be set free from the person who trapped him. I guess that bag could work on Betelgeuse, and he'd have no way to get out unless the person who trapped him actively lets him. It's just getting Betelgeuse into the fucking bag that'd be the issue. But still, I guess what this was all leading to is this; the Ghostbusters can literally just stuff Betelgeuse in a bag to win.

If Beetlejuice is made out of the same stuff that The Boogeyman is made out of, then The Ghostbusters will have trouble, when their proton packs don't work on it. It would be easier for the ghostbusters to say his name three times.

As for this fight this will be tough one to say the least With Beatle Juice's Reality warping and stats playing a Huge Factor However i'd go with GB on this one They are far more experienced,Leagues smarter than BJ and will take the fight more serious Another thing in terms of Stats While BJ has Moon to Star level feats as well as An MFTL speed feat Like the Looney Tunes these feats are extremely inconsistent and doesn't mix well with his Consistent showings Even if we did give him that GB's equipment can damage Foes on a higher scale like Gozer a sixth dimensional entity It doesn't help that GB has a counter to most of his abilities They can freeze him See him if he turns invisibility Has counters against Possesion And can return back even if they were sent to the Different area In fact a Glaring issue Max did was not specifying which Beatle Juice is fighting Since the Live action and Cartoon counterparts aren't connected as well as they are different characters entirely Many of GB's Equipment can Contain BJ for good and while it is true BJ can Clone or transmute their items 1.he only has done that a few times and not much afterwards especially in situations where he couldve done so 2.Cloning was more of a onetime thing and hardly occurred during battle In fact it was just for a gag or funny moment 3.Even if we say he did The GB has more than just the proton Packs for their Equipment against BJ So Overall I see Ghost Busters winning this -Having the Power to combat BJ and surpass -Smarter -Has more experienced in dealing with such foes unlike BJ vice versa -Bigger Arsenal -BJ's Obstacle of always making things worse might benefit them And so on Who ya gonna Call Ghost Busters Is gonna take home the gold 9/10

In my opinion the ghostbusters should win. The Ghostbusters have lots of experience fighting ghosts with various powers similar to Beetlejuice, and they can bring all the counters for Beetlejuice, thus leaving him as pretty much just a useless ghost with no powers whatsoever. With all their experience, they have an advantage. Beetlejuice doesn't have experience fighting people with proton packs and ghost traps, they get him once and he's unlikely to get out before they just kill him with explosives and any assorted weapons they might have. On VS Battle Wiki, Beetlejuice is listed only as wall level, however the proton pack is continent level, it'd one shot Beetlejuice. So they don't even need to trap him, they'd just blow him apart. Also beetejuice is a ghost, but ghostbusters have fought demons and gods which are pretty much superior to ghosts on a fundamental level. Also beetlejuice was in teen titans go so he automatically loses because of the cringe.

Im giving this match to the Ghost Busters. Beetlejuice’s powers are strong but they are usually a double edge sword or something the ghost busters have fought before. There defiantly smart enough to trap the gullible Beetlejuice. They also have a lot of gadgets that Beetlejuice will probably fall for.

I barely know anything about either side, so I'm not gonna be able to bring anything new to the table here really. But from what I gathered from the video, this doesn't seem like a good situation for the Ghostbusters to be in. If they only managed to take down clones and more powerful ghosts with outside help and equipment they wouldn't immediately have on hand, I don't see them beating Beetlejuice here. It seems like all Beetlejuice needs to do is disable the proton packs and then he basically has a free win. I really doubt he'd let any of the Ghostbusters run off to get their stronger equipment, especially since his cloning would allow him to keep tabs on all of them at once if they were to split up. Yeah, I don't have much to say here. The Ghostbusters winning? What a ridiculous concept.

I think Ghostbusters can take the victory. Betelgeuse has a ton of insane powers, but the Ghostbusters also dealt with other crazy opponents such as God himself (who they killed twice). I think they also had the smarts and weaponry to defeat BJ, so i'm going with The Ghostbusters.

Welp I did some digging into this match myself...specifically into the Cthulhu argument. So first off let me just say I'm on Ducko's side for this one. It seems Max has 2 major points that he is using as a win condition for this battle, Beatle juice is faster and can just screw with reality. So let's talk about speed here for a moment, the proton packs fire beams of ions that at bare minimum should move at relativistic speeds. That is if we want to use real world science for the Ghost Busters gear, however the Ghost Busters did manage to take down Cthulhu in the cartoon. In the show they call him Cthulhu and he shares a large resemblance to most depictions of Cthulhu. Now because Cthulhu is in the public domain and has been for years you can make the argument that the Ghost Busters have the speed to keep up with and catch Cthulhu, a being so quick and powerful it's immeasurable. So if we are to believe that they took on actual Cthulhu, than the Ghost Busters would blitz Beatle Juice before he can say it's showtime. Max's other big argument was Beatle Juice's reality warping. Ignoring the fact that the Ghost Busters may have beat Cthulhu who's mere presence can make people go insane and distort reality, they have dealt with reality warpers before, like Gozer. But the last point I want to bring up is the Ghost busters equipment and experience. The Ghost Buster's have done a few crossovers such as with the new movie's female cast who also beat a reality warper, so they likely know about some of the gadgets they used. But the Ghost Busters also have thier own transformer that they used to help them beat ghost Transformers! Which may be slightly more badass than that time they crossed over with the fucking Ninja Turtles. So yeah Beatle Juice gets blitzed by the Busters scailing to Transformers and possiably Cthulhu and as for Beatle Juice's reality warping while it's unique it wont be too much of a hassel to people who deal with strange shit on the daily. Sorry Beatle Juice but the show's over!

(Sorry for the name change confusion lol) I’m a lot less experienced in this than the only other GGM I answered for (and lost horribly wrong with so if I get this wrong Max this is my vengeance for what happened to my girl). But anyways salt aside I’m going to be siding with Beetlejuice. As this is really a long term battle to bust Beetlegeuse for good, while the Ghostbusters could DEBATEBLY capture Bugsmoothie or send him back to the Netherworld, just like a certain purple guy in a fursuit, he will always come back. And even then that’s assuming the Ghostbusters even are able to stand up to him given they’ve needed preparation and/or outside help to stand up to ghosts with one of the many abilities Insectpulp has. And the few ways they have to put Creepycrawlyblendeddrink down assuming they even do learn of these weaknesses which, Coleopteranextract will never give them an opportunity to do so, can be countered. Try to say Scuttlesap’s name three times? He’ll seal their mouths shut. Try to dismember Pestfluid’s limbs? Not only does his way highier speed make it near impossible for the Ghostbusters to catch him, but Frogfoodliqour’s shape shifting could also give him an easy out from that scenario. And while yes, the Ghostbusters do have numerous counters towards most of Scuttlesecretions’ power set, that doesn’t matter as the Ghost with the Most can directly counter all their technology that allows them to combat his powers with transmutation or just going inside the tech and giving it the reverse Bite of 87. Really the Ghostbusters are outmatched as they are in for the fright of their lives. ... Also, just gonna say if you wanted a close debate it should have been Beetlejuice vs Golden Freddy in a cool-off. And if this is comment chosen, I’m not sorry for whoever has to read this as I took most of my time writing this finding synonyms for Beetle and Juice.

He’s important, he’s not gonna be left behind, nobody else important Slimer: *Am I a joke to you?* Okay, but honestly, I know very, very little about these two franchises. Aside from “Duckless” and “Betelgeuse tres times” I haven’t seen their films, cartoons or other media. I know, I’m a degenerate for that, but you both made certain good arguments... but I think Betelgeuse wins. Also, it’s Betelgeuse, not Beetlejuice. I’m not that much of a degenerative degenerate. Also also, this may be a long @$$ comment so sit tight. For the Ghostbusters, they have experienced ghouls who have the following: toon force (can be stretched, pull objects out of thin air, and transmute/switch out objects for other things), telekinesis, possession, cloning, reality warping, and flight. Even though Betelgeuse has all these powers, unlike the ghouls the GBs fought who only had one single power or two at most, this means the Busters can somewhat counter his own *if* they can catch him. Not perfect counters- looking at you, possession- but it’s something. However, the word ‘if’ is what hurts their chances greatly. Since most of his key weaknesses are unknown and/or unable to be exploited by them (more on that later), his key traits are the most hindering. He’s hard to catch thanks to his agility and speed; his telekinetic and physical might can remove the Busters’ chances at victory or crush them with ease; even his trickiness in weaknesses can easily blindside the GB thanks to the fact that they won’t know what hit ‘em at first. Remember, this scenario is bad for the ghoul hunters. Beetle-juice already knows that they exist, so he has at least *some* prior knowledge about them beforehand. This means he can be knowledgeable about their abilities and skills. The fact that they need outside help and/or outside research after fleeing once, which Betelgeuse can prevent leaving and exploiting his name’s weakness thanks to his reality warping, which he can chain the Busters up, tape their mouth shut, transform their stream-guns into other stuff, or telekinesis them out the window and into a pool of lava. Or, water. Idk. Now, there’s one last thing hinging on the Ghostbusters which can earn them the win. And that’s none other than... *drumroll* Slimer. The universe is dependent on this green gooball? Eh, it’s just a sidekick to the GB. A sidekick that has toon force, is a ghost himself, and has canonically worked with the GhostBusters *despite Max’s points about ghosts not siding with the Busters for who they are* in the spinoff cartoon and comic. Hey, Betelgeuse gets Lydia, I say allow the Ghost Busters to have this green guy on their side. He could get information on the likes of Betelgeuse, and try to relay it back to them. He could counteract certain actions Juice could perform or do. He could be the wincon... But remember, ‘could’ and ‘would’ are entirely different words. Slimer isn’t all that intelligent. Sure, he’s somewhat smart for a ghost... in his universe. Yet, he really hasn’t tangled with the masterful, wonderous Betelgeuse and his variety of powers. Betel has his own ways to counter the green ghoul, the *last* trump card of the Busters, and then reduce Murray and the crew into ectoplasmic stains. So, who’s the winner? Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! *Beetlejuice!*

Hello, I'm kind of new here and it's my first leaving a comment so hopefully my arguments won't end up too bad... So I don't really know much about both combatant but, from what I've heard, I believe Beetlejuice takes this without too much difficulty. Not only are the Ghostbusters much more slower and in general more restricted in terms of mobility, like Max pointed out, but also lacks proper experience to deal with said ghost. What I mean by this is that Beetlejuice has a LOT of power and hax (some of which they never have seen before) he could utilize to suprise and/or restrain the Ghosbusters at quick succesion in a comedic and cartonny manner, contrarely to ghost they've dealt with before that only specalize in one or a few specific abilities in particular circumstances, meaning they're much more situational (and when they face against actual powerful threat, they are usually almost on the verge of death which won't come in handy against a freak like Bettlejuice). Also, the fact that preparation and outside help is not taken into account will really not help them either. Most of their noticable wins comes after a good amount of research about their ghostly opponent or/and with the help of other people's (like the ghostbuster Jr. WTH that exist...). The only way I could see them win is by convincing Lydia to stop the fight but, like Max said, they're considering themselves like close friends so I don't see that happening. Overall, thanks to Beetlejuice having the stat advantage, being a "a Jack of all trades" like a certain person would say (hihihi...) and the Ghostbusters lack of intel. and way of putting him down; The Ghostbusters unfortunaly won't be able to make their way out of the building because Bettlejuice will STOMP them (Get it... because he can shrink people and all).

OverCookedSalmon and Friends the entire debate for Kiki was built around a slight misunderstanding in the scenario. Part 1 was finished and ready to go up, but then they realised that the difference in the scenario meant there was actually no way for Kiki to win. Both debaters lost passion for the episode so it got canned.

I’m gonna say Mr. Insect Smoothie. Ducko definitely made some good points, but somehow I just can’t side with the Ghostbusters. The way I see it, it’s sort of like modern day rat exterminators trying to kill Master Splinter. Sure, they certainly have a plethora of experience and gadgets, but Beetlejuice seems to have perfect counters. With their equipment out of the equation, it doesn’t exactly make this fight easier, even if they’ve solved problems without them before. And sure they have ways to get around some of Beetlejuice’s abilities, but none of them seemed to be immediate fixes they can use at any given second. Getting help from other ghosts I won’t deny is a good idea, but getting help from ones as strong or versatile as Beetlejuice just seems out of the question. The only ones that could are major baddies, who I’d assume would never help the Ghostbusters to begin with. So, my vote to Beetlejuice.
